BOS is really only a mess because of Matsuzaka. The offense was there. I like beckett tomorrow.
I believe Beckett's last two starts were pretty ugly - although his two starts prior were fairly solid. Tough one to call - same as Seattle. Anyone have any thoughts? Like Rizz said, they seemed to have blown their two best chances for a W - in ridiculous fashion, I might add - in the last two games (and they're going up against Wilson tomorrow who has been lights out - even though Fister has also been very good)

Gentlemen, good morning. Most of the time when I try to out-smart the system I fail. The famous Run-Line Blitz last year is a good case in point. The best play, over the long haul, was the system play.
I am enjoying this thread, thank you.

rejecting my above advice.... check out espn's RPI 2010 for both game 3's today. Texas should handle Seattle and Boston over Baltimore... according to their data. (for what it is worth

Hey Rizz, would it be too much trouble if you can also post your unit on each play. This way I can figure out the labby system and make sure I am correct on each play. Thanks.

Yes, good point NM. I am only laying about 2U on each of these plays because my lines have been clearing out and their was no leftovers on line 3.
RIZZ when you do your Labby, and you get to a C play and you win, your line is not complete from that series, right? So do you carry the line over to the next series? I do lot of Labbys for other plays, but could not figure out how to do a chase with a Labby unless it would got to the next series. Thanks by the way for your dedication to this thread.

That looks right to me Jake, assuming you are only running one line
Then some people do 3 lines. One for each type of wager (A B C).
If you lose the first bet as in your example, your 1st line is correct. However, the B line is still 5-5-5-5. If that loses, you add the loss to the end of that line.
Your C bet is at 5-5-5-5. If it wins, you erase the 5's on the ends. If it loses, you add that to the end of the C line.
Each of your lines are now higher b/c you had losses. Some people split the loss in half and put part on the front of the line and part on the end of the line to make the wager smaller the next time that line comes up.

How much of a difference in RPI should we use to exclude plays???

today was a bad day but just like anything in gambling the research did indicate there would be days like this.. it was painfully for me also but i know there were losses to be coming.
as i eval my betting strategy and the more information i get, it appears as the labby system can be used.,,along with some modification to max the wins and minimize the losses.

Guys, I am seeing BOS as a potential play again for tomorrow. Why the lines are not adjusted based on how crappy this team is playing tells me people are still laying that juice on them. I went back through everything today to create an excel spreadsheet of all the plays. BOS lost a series today. If you remember they were swept by TB earlier in the year but we pushed and did not chase the series. I don't see any reason to keep posting them as a play for at least a few weeks until the lines are adjusted. I will include them to track but will not add to the record regardless of win or loss. Moreso for the database I am creating.

Guys, really pissed off earlier.. I am not going to personally play BOS even though it is a play in both of my systems. Play it if you would like. I am still going to keep track of them in the record. I want to have as much info as we can through this season and going into next.
