CKP, do you make it a play when a target team only has a 5 game home stand or does it need to be 6?

The Dodgers have a 5 game stand starting 7/26, and SF 8/26. Just wondering how you handle these so I can have my schedule match yours. I show 41 series with the 5 gamers or 39 if they don't qualify. Lots of plays this year in both systems!

1. Chicago Cubs - 5 series
2. San Francisco - 4 series
3. Washington - 4 series
4. LA Dodgers - 5 series
5. Baltimore - 4 series
6. Boston - 4 series
7. Cleveland - 4 series
8. Texas - 5 series
9. Toronto - 5 series

I think you are off on LAD. You probably have the games starting on 7/26 as a play. That's only a 5 game home stand. The other plays start on 8/5, 8/23, 9/2 and 9/19.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You're absolutely right. I thought the Dodgers were still playing Arizona on August 1st, but they're not. I'll take this series off my list. Good catch.

The 5 games are against TB (2) and AZ (3). I will probably play this anyway.

I don't count them as part of the system record but usually play them any way.

For what it's worth, I've changed my strategy on the system over the last few years. While the system is a 6-game system, I start cutting teams after 3 games and invest in new plays.  Rarely did it ever go to 5 or 6 games, but I get so annoyed these days that I don't have the patience to deal with these teams.

The record does stand for itself. But I do remember a few years ago teams going to 3 and 4 games when they were matched with other teams in the system. I'm sure that will be the case this season.

Danrules24 is right. We have 39 Series (minimum of 6 games) and 2 Series with 5 home games.

I thought the LA Dodgers series starting on July 26th was a 6 gamer, but it's a 5 gamer. Sorry about that.

Hi rp-rt,

Go back to page 1 . CKP22 has provided the link in post # 8. Basically we wait until the All-Star break. Whatever teams are 10 games over 500 will be our target teams moving forward. These are the only teams that we will wager on when they are at home for at least 6 games. It doesn't matter who they are playing or who the starting pitchers are. If they win on game 1 then we are done with the series. We keep are profits and wait for the next series to start. If they lose then we chase them until they win.

Danrules24 has incorporated what he calls a double dip feature. If we win our series, and there are at least 5 games remaining in the home stand, then we begin our chase again.

Hi sports_Network,

I just want to mention again that there are 39 six game series, not 40, My mistake was with the LA Dodgers. They only have 4 Home Series, not 5. Danrules24 brought this to my attention. I was getting my information from TSN and they show a game on Aug 1st between the Dodgers and Arizona, but I didn't notice that there is no start time for this game. Therefore the home stand that begins on July 26th is only a 5 gamer. Nontheless, we still have plenty of plays, especially if we double dip.

CKP will post results and update the record for the system plays. I will chime in with the double dip plays after any system wins.

Saturday we have double dip A games with Chicago and Wash.
