@Calde13
I've got good news for you. It's gonna be Rune Alcaraz in the final.
Here's the proof:
Mirra Andreeva (Born April 29) vs Aryna Sabalenka (Born May 5)
Holger Rune (Born April 29) vs Carlos Alcaraz (Born May 5)

Hehe lol - ok that would actually be low key wild :) - also if it ends up being the “same” winning the tournament :)

Another one of the things I hate seeing when people try to justify their picks: the dreaded irrelevant trend.
So here it is: in 2025 semifinal matches at Indian Wells players born on April 29 and May 5 are a perfect 2-0.

Stupid Draper is from December so he might ruin our plan :( - but atleast if he beats Alcaraz almost 100% certain the market will overreact when it makes the market versus Rune

If Andreeva wins today, and looks really good doing so, over the next few months it might be time to start the discussion about who the best player in the world is. Or at a minimum ask who are the 'big 3' or 'big 4'. Really the only top player that has given her trouble is Sabalenka, but Mirra does have a major QF victory over her.
Think about Mirra's inevitable rematch with Iga at Madrid, French Open, or both. A year ago Iga went into clay season with this aura that she was untouchable on clay, and she certainly delivered. At least until the shocking Olympic loss to Zheng. She hasn't accomplished anything really significant on tour since that loss. So if Andreeva and Iga meet on clay in a couple months I don't think Iga will appear bulletproof against her. Mirra is developing such a well-rounded game that she should be able to compete for slams on any surface. Should make for a very interesting spring/summer.
Here are the current French Open odds so we can look back for future reference:
2ga -150
Aryna +500
Coco +800
Mirra +900

There is no doubt at all - the only thing that can stop Mirra achieving the title as number 1 in the world is if she gets a doping sentence or something similar (Simona Halep style) her play is already up there and she is evolving at hyperspeed - she will not be dominant Swiatek style - in 15 years we will go Serena Williams who ?

But I think it will take a year more - nerves etc is real in that age at such events as GS - so I don’t think she will win the first few times she stands in a finale - but after she has won her first I can easily see her win all 4 the same year

only to emphasise mate - but if you are providing more than odds 2.00 that she in 15 years will have won more than Serena Williams did - I would be up for that bet

Grand slams ? Serena won 23 - I think Mirra wins her first next year - so she would have potentially 14*4 =56 to win - I don’t think a 50% winrate or higher would be insane to think she could win in 5 years onwards - do you even know how much she has improved recently compared to the rest of the field ?

The main reason I would be hesitant to take such a bet would be that I actually have the chance of her getting a doping sentence at one point during her career pretty high - I can’t recall I having seen someone this age improve at this rate ever - and I know how the Russian system work - she might not even know herself

@Uman
It would be easy to make a case for either player. They have both been dominant. Seems most likely that we're in for an 'epic' style match, which would bode well for the over.
I've got hoops lingering large on my mind today, hoping my Vols can win the SEC tourney and hit my futures bet in the process.
Also, at least for betting purposes over the next week, the most important tennis is being played in South Florida today. Probably won't play much but definitely will be keeping an eye on it. I do like Claire Liu early and possibly Lepchenko.

I’m down here at the Miami open and it’s kind of windy. Take that in consideration when placing your bets.
Btw, Liu not looking good. Struggling with the serve.

I will give you that it can go in both directions of course - 100% - but there is always a price in which you should enter the wager and there is only two outcomes either she does surpass Serena or she doesn’t - so that is a 50/50
Nah of course you are right none of us know - I make an educated guess - and you make an educated guess - and that is that - betting in a nutshell pretty much

@Calde13
Lmao tell me you know nothing about tennis without telling me. You probably didn’t watch Serena play to know how dominant she was on all surfaces.
