The mental edge Djoko had over Rafa has switched 150 degrees, and will
reach 180 degrees after Sunday. Rafa has made the adjustments since
last year when he plays Djoko, and that showed in the 5 setter i
australia, then the 2 matches on clay where you are making excuses for
Djoko. Rafa is serving better and bothering Djoko more now than ever
before with the baseline game, going to the backhand with those huge
topspin forehand shots, and he's doing it quicker in the point. He's
also coming to net more after hitting the corners to either side, he's
taking chances and jumping on Djoko's 2nd serve.
Djoko has not had the answers the last 2 matches. he damn near lost in australia as Rafa had plenty of chances.

Djoker's year was more dominating than Rafs 08, furthermore he's continuing his dominance into this year! He's only missed one Semifinal since 2010, 2 if you count his W/O loss. I can't think of anyone who's done that! Rafa sure didn't in 08! And he ain't doin it this year either.

Rafa's rise came against the greatest of all time Roger Federer, still in his prime ages 26-28 while Djoko's rise has come while Roger is clearly on the downside. Big, big difference when you look at the road Rafa had to go through vs. Joker.
but, having said that, Joker will be playing some still competition the next 4-5 years in Rafa, Murray, DP, Tsonga, Berdych, Raonic, and dare i say, Tomic, as he physically and mentally matures ??
that's why i think Joker will be lucky to get more than 10 slams when his career is said and done. too many great up and comers, and Djoko's game just not next level enough in any aspect to fight off the young guns,

You still want to show us all your ignorance on this topic? Interpret this however you wish. They both turned pro at the same time, career match wins, and career titles clearly favor raonic, but if you want to hold on to your age difference theory, ok then,,,you're the expert
well, they both have great upside so i am not going to put down Raonic, but one thing is extremely clear: Tomic turned pro at age 15 goin on 16, and Raonic was 17 goin on 18. If you do not realize how big a physical, mental, and emotional difference there is from age 16 to age 18, then this conversation is not worth having.

Nole will end with double digit majors for sure. who is going to beat him in the next 3 years???? he only needs 5 more to get to 10. cant see him not winning 2 per year for the next 3 years at least
