2* Larcher De Brito +110 (WTA) She plays like crap most of the year and
puts together a few wins on grass, so I'll ride with her again here. Might not pan out to be the top 10 threat people predicted from her though, been quite a few years and no real jump in the rankings. Her weak serve and lack of power doesn't hinder her as much on grass though with the lack of ball bounce. Really great return of serve and solid baseline play should be enough to counter Gajdosova's power and lack of movement in this one.
2* Matosevic -121 Finally ended his winless streak at grand slams back at the French and now has a taste for round one success! Next step, a round 2 win and a great chance here against the Frenchman Chardy. Overcoming that grand slam hurdle looks to have been a massive relief for the Australian who is playing some quality tennis since Roland Garros. He rolls into this one on some very good grass form with quality wins over Verdasco, Cilic, Muller, and Tsonga. Chardy presents a lot of firepower, especially off the forehand side, but he'll be countered by a bigger opponent who can match him and offers more consistency in his game.
1* Stakhovsky +267 Stakhovsky's got all the weapons to succeed on grass here against a ripe opponent. This is Gulbis' weakest surface to me as represented by his sub 40% win rate. His huge serve and sneaky movement for a big man allows him to stay in matches but hasn't quite figured out the nuances to succeed on grass aside from overpowering play. Stakhovsky offers more variety with slices and the potential for net approaches to really pressure the Latvian in the tight moments to seize those big points and potentially pull an upset.

getting these in now, might not be back around until the weekend due to work.
Friday 2* Mayer +111 Kuznetsov was redlining yesterday against Ferrer, absolutely smacking the cover off the ball. Picked up a small injury from what I saw though, either achilles or hamstring so I'm siding with Mayer who's serving well and also playing some aggressive attacking tennis.

Touch one on Granollers. You would think he would fight until the end, but a very poor showing at 5-5. Giraldo played solid when it mattered and Granollers played like an idiot.
