Nice work EP......1st day of the open had 6 matches end in retirement...do you factor that into your picks at all? Lu retired today he also quit in Winston Salem last week.....Andujar unable to even start the 5th set....Dolgopolov throws in the towel after giving joker all he could handle last week.... Along with Monfils Stepanek and Mayer.... I find it so frustrating when this happens especially if I play an over that has already hit before a player retires... I played Kukushkin today and got boned with only three more games to win for an easy straight set victory.... I may just be ranting but man don't you guys find this kind of stuff frustrating best of luck the rest of the tourney

My only frustration was Monifils. He was getting his rear handed to him and threw in the towel. Don t know if was legitimate or not. He basically quit last match out and even turned his back in the middle of a rally. I think his sad legacy will be he was a wasted talent.

Thanks again Eagles for another win. Took your over advise on Nadal and the over had 32.5 Thanks to your skills. If left to my own devises I would fail miserable at my US open picks. Stay Thirsty.

Obviously there are some players that you know have issues like Lu that you want to avoid. Others like Monfils for me are guys who are just difficult to trust because of a long injury history. That is what drew me to Tsonga for that Quarters bet over Monfils simply was Gael's history of odd injuries/results.
Some is dumb luck, but if you avoid guys - at least early - on who are coming to the USO off injuries like Ferrer and Raonic for example, I think you'll feel better off regardless of result. Monfils for me was in the no fly zone to start because of his seeming tank job in his Cincy match. I'm really not sure if he got hurt in that match or had something else before, but he's just a weird nut.

Dolgopolov's was probably the weirdest today. Watched the whole match and didnt notice anything wrong with him. All of a sudden after he loses the third set, he goes and shakes Groth's hand and retires. Kind of questionable, as nothing has come out regarding the injury

I read it was an elbow injury. Dolgopolov is one of those guys where I just refuse to bet him as anything but a dog because he's got that blood disease too which is why his results are super difficult to predict.

Tiafoe can definitely beat Troicki on hard courts. Tiafoe is an up and coming American who has a very good serve for a 17 year old.
I know who Tiafoe is, he looked great in Winston-Salem. Was just wondering if the play was more based off the value, or his true belief that Tiafoe would win.

Well good thing Krajicek comes in on the ML, will probably offset losing the 1.0 unit bet on the Kohlschreiber-Zverev Over. Sascha whooped in the 2nd & 3rd. Going to need him to win the 4th to have any shot.
