Hey Folks,
It’s been a few years since I graced this forum with my appearance.
I’m not going to get into all of the gory details of why I haven’t been around. Let’s just say that Covers (and their advertisers) were kind of tired of my adversarial (their word) attitude, and I was tired of them using words like “adversarial” to describe my attitude.
In the meantime, I’ve spent some time clearing my head – and clogging it back up again – and trying my hand at a number of different activities. Along the way, I learned a few do’s-and-don’ts of travel, real estate, and online poker, among other things. I’ve got some good stories, and of course a lot of bad ones too.
I also realized that the American government was severely hampering my style, so I am back up here in
A while ago, the Boss called me and said that Covers was going to start putting more effort into changing the industry for the better and putting more effort into looking out for the players. Since this was something I used to holler about, he asked me if I was interested in taking over my old role again. After some thought and more negotiation than I really thought was necessary, I decided to take him up on it.
Anyways, while I have been still keeping tabs occasionally, it’s not like I still have an actual rep in here anymore – and most of you are complete strangers to me. I do see that the original Posting Forum Manifesto I wrote 7 years ago is still mostly intact, which is surprising since I coughed that thing up in about 20 minutes in a hungover haze. That’s talent, folks.
So here I am. Back. I’ve got to admit, it feels cool.
I know I’ve got a lot of work to do, but y’all can look for me to delve a bit into which sportsbooks and poker sites are actually honest, and which ones to avoid. Plus, since I’ve met a few people in my day and have the ability to make stuff happen, I’m going to try to help sort out which horror stories are valid and need to be addressed, and which stories are crap.
If you are still wondering who I am, don’t worry, you will find out.
In the meantime, I’ll let you know the general guideline I have for gambling… Treat it like a hobby. If you can make a few bucks from it, that’s sweet. Just don’t be the guy who spends his life savings remodeling his house to fit his train set.
I’ll keep in touch,
Lou
