alright guys if hawaii wins tonight....or cal state/longbeach goes under 155 i finish up in college.....if not i finish a good way down...

and btw....i'm going back to parlays in college...i did 3 parlays with the other picks i had and i got a decent shot at 2...both were 1 unit too...compared to every other game being half unit....this would really be great.....LETS DO THIS.......either way i'll be fine and stay happy....but i will be happier if they win hahaha

my experiment felt more like a volcano eruption.....i swear it always seems like on the days i'm down...doing 1 or 2 parlays always saves me....atleast lately it has....calstate/longbeach under looking good... ME.

blake griffin has hit a couple jumpers tonight

if he ever gets that 12-15 footer down...he will be even more dangerous...he has such good footwork for a big guy

he is a terrible jump shooter...just like josh smith...
tyreke evans has a terrible jumper as well

Hawks because they have a 3 game losing streak, going 7-2 ATS on 0 day rest against a bad home team like the Cavs with a 3-12 record ATS at home and without Varejao, Gibson and maybe Miles.
Alao Hawks are 6-0 ATS last 6 times in Cleveland

O Clippers 1h i like the personal matches in this game and both are really good scoring teams, the line at 101 seems to low for me.

Rockets under 1h, the last games between theese 2 teams finished with the under i believe last 6 games.
Hornets are an under team at home.

Bucks because the new coach and the Bulls have a very bad ATS record at home.
Clippers just because i dont believe Dallas can leep the pace with the Clips on the road.

Nuggets ocer, Orlando is running a lot lately, 8 overs in a row, dont believe this streak will end in Denver.
Warrior over, las 5 games at GS 4-1 over, Memphis playing great on the road, putting 125 points in Sac.

about the pick for tomorrow, not sure about it, Aldrige have a wrist injury, didnt practice today because he went to take x-rays.
I don't know if he will play tomorrow, and if he plays don't know about his shooting.

I hate going against Mavin but I think the Heat show up for the Prime Time special tomorrow night. They have been losing quite a few winnable games lately and fighting it out neck and neck with mediocre opponents... Sure one might expect this to continue but these egotistical superstars really do play better for prime time and I think its time they lay a whooping on somebody.

My gut tells me Heat so I'm gonna roll with them. I think they should be able to cover...

Not really likin much else on the board tomorrow.

One thing I have noticed in cases like that is the fact that the dogs that the line moves in their favorite against the public support - either cover or cover the first half. But that does not say all will cover the first half, but one of the two or both will happen in a high probability. Let us check that assumption without actually paying for that but for developing the methodology

i thought i was the only on to notice but when joe public falls in love with a team vegas cashes in n especially in the half were people tend to play the assuming if there gonna win the game they should win the half easy witch isn't always the case as u saw first hand with ur bal 4.5 H pick this past sunday

I feel very satisfied with so many new minds bringing their refreshing angles and convictions about the game and some already doing it according to the methodology we've been developing here. That feels great. It is also very important for a better money management and self discipline to recap your efforts at the end of the day making sure there were no side plays you just placed for whatever reason on the expense of a fixed bankroll you started with. The right habits will wear ion with the time. I am not going to mention any names of those who did it by the textbook and those who did the half job. You all know who you are. Keep doing it right - it's not as difficult and you'll see the results sooner than later. It does not matter if your picks were successful or not today. First of all built the right infrastructure. Embrace your losses if you had and learn from them. Analyse your wins in a humble way and take notes - all the time.

To recap my day -  I am satisfied with mine not only because it was again a positive day - but because already on a lean level the thinking and perception of the games were in right direction. Wednesday behaved mostly like Wednesday and the end of the day closing games behaved themselves as the end of the closing games. 

About the financials I promised and being getting PMs all the time. I will create a thread at the Special Interest Forum under the section Investments and you all welcome to check that thread out.

Hello Marvin and the Crew.

Early look at today's card.

As I just posted in a couple of other threads, the Knicks line took a dramatic drop (albeit early) at Horizon.  +5.5 to +4.5

This doesn't make sense considering the opponent is a very hot IND team.

A poster submitted that Melo is (or could be out), but that wouldn't explain the NY money.

Lotta people wondering how this struggling MIA fares when it goes way out to the Rose garden and plays a tough PORT team.

Saw early money come in on MIA, but the it quickly dissipated to PORT.

Only a 3 game card........gl tonite !!..........

Mavs @ Clipps Under  ... Dropped the ball on this game. I really thought these teams would be interested in running the ball but that was not the case. Mavs were very content with running their half court through Dirk.... who honestly just doesn't have the lift on his shot that we are used to seeing. Collison seemed to be able to get to the basket when he wanted, but he needs to want that more. We learn a lesson, take notes, and move on.

DAL @ SAC: Pick: Under 206

I am not exactly sure why this line is so high. I expected it to be right at 200. Mavs on the second end of a back to back and I expect them to tire out sometime in the third quarter. As previously said Mavs are very content on running the ball slowly through Dirk on the offensive end. Until we see that change or the books lowering their totals, we must take advantage. Sacramento hasn't seen a total this high in their last 10 games. I do not understand why playing the Mavs (who clearly can control the pace of the game albeit in a losing effort) would have an inflated line vs the Kings. Maybe the books are looking at season totals which are as follows:


Kings score 96.5 per game and give up 102.1 on defense
Mavs score 98.4 per game and give up 103.0 on defense. 


That provides us with a sense of range for the total. Anywhere from 195 - 205. Yet the game is at 206. PLUS the recent trend is certainly to play the Mavs under. Look at their last 10 games. Mavs have score 100 three of these ten games but two came with OT. Yes, they have given up 100+ 6 times but these have come to some really good offensive units including MIA, OKC, SAx2, DEN. 

Sac town has had their troubles this season but I have a feeling they take down the Mavs after their collapse vs the Clippers. Mavs will have tired legs in the second half. Their second unit is terrible and relies on old Vince Carter to spark them offensive. Second end of back to back really hurts these old guys. Also a little look ahead factor for the Mavs, they have MIA next. Also leaning playing Kings ATS.

In the spirit of accountability, I was way off on OKC/MIN Over last night.  OKC held up their end with 106 points and the pace of the game was quick, but MIN's FG% was rotten and they had way too many turnovers.  (0-1 record for me.)

I was right about OKC being a strong 2h play.  They ran away with it in the 3rd and 4th quarter.  Too bad I missed halftime and didn't get my bet in. 

My only play today is Portland +3.5, although I realize I'm not the first one to call this game (Mavin).    The line just dropped to 3 even though public support is heavy on Miami.  This is the same kind of movement we saw last night with NO against HOU. 

Thanks again to everyone who offers their opinions, especially those who provide some insight and reasoning behind the plays.  Much appreciated.
