Good question. In order for the game over the first half has to be point productive. For the reasons yet unknown to me the line moved point and a half from 179.5 to 181.It would be stupid to ignore such move without reacting on it and only way to intelligently react is to take first half over and hope it hits Under as a whole game. I'm no prophet but that seems to me as a right play under the circumstances

Very interesting reading here from Mavin and diametrically opposed to mine. Both Nets and Pacers have been scoring more FGs in the second half of games than in the first as of late, add to that a tired defense and you got yourself an invitation to score many points.

Melo have you noticed how this year in the NFL teams play tight like if they need exlax and then all of the sudden in the second half quarterbacks become superman?

Why not play lose the whole game and enjoy it- shows you which can't handle the pressure I guess.

This is actually a combination of things.  The elite qbs are usually pretty loose to begin with, but a lot of the very beg of games if figuring out the defense and seeing how they will play you.  Second off, there usually comes a point in time, sometimes even near the end of the first half if you are getting beat that bad, that you don't have a choice but to become loose because you have nothing to lose at that point.  Also, if your running game is going nowhere, you have to usually become more loose.  You have to figure though, when its second half and the game is on the line, and your team is down, you don't have a choice but to let loose.  It's the qbs like Trent Edwards (i'm a huge bills fan, so obv i hate my life...but also i know his game) he for example would never get loose, he was always tight and threw check down after check down.  The best qbs, if they don't already start loose, they get loose when they have to and the game is on the line.
Lastly, though you have to remember that loose is not always good.  Brett Favre, in his last playoff game could tell you that.  Peyton Manning in his last throw yesterday, too loose.  Never throw across your body, unless the guy is wide open obviously, especially when the game is on the line.

The line moved 1.5 points because the Pacers told that Paul George will play today.

I am trying to determine what will be in the weeks to come by checking the pulse now. We will see, but I would not go to the assumptions without checking them first. Your guess about that is as good as anyone's unless you have hard evidence in face of continued trend that proves that either after a dig day comes a fave day, or after a dog day Saturday comes a fave Sunday. Or not. I am at least checking that and investing time in order for all of us to benefit. Unfortunately - what I do research wise id being judged by what results I got yesterday and that is a very non productive approach

Pretty prideful for a person who's losing.  Past is the past. It's what you learn from the past that helps your future.  Why would I take any of your plays or anyone's for that matter?  I don't live and die by the positives or negatives of a few days or weeks.

You are destroying not yourself but your minions.  It's always easier when you cap games by yourself.  It's all about producing when it matters.  Being "clutch" as athletes would say.  I don't follow anyone but myself because ultimately it's your money.  I play as many games as possible on any given day (I played 70 college games yesterday).  I'm all about quantity and not quality.  Because quality can suck on any given day as well.  You max out at 70 games per week.  I try to do that in a day.  With 5% a unit, you're destined to fail.  You can take my advice for a grain of salt, or be stubborn and find out the hard way.  Time is money... not the other way around.  Good luck to you bro... it's not about being hot or cold.  It's all about volume and hitting 52%+ in the long run.

There is no third way I guess. It is either yours and that would take a one losing day in big to wipe all the bankroll. This is how. If your plays are 5% of the bankroll - lets say 20$? If you have a bankroll of 2000$ right? So 70 games are 1400$. So you lay down 70% of your bankroll any given Saturday? And you think I'm destroying my "minions"? Oh boy, you better reevaluate your thinking about betting and sports handicapping.

Funny thing when Peyton threw that pass, that Favre play against the Saints immediately came to mind.

Wow, encouraging people to play as many games as possible any given day and going for quantity over quality. You sir get my vote for worst advice of the day.

My lean for the Spurs game is a blowout game, but i´m still studying it.
What do you think about it?
Or maybe wait for the second half line?

Lost NO this afternoon. In a little rut right now. Luckily I got saved on a Falcons moneyline and Seahawks +3 to make for a positive day.

I am having a tough read on tonight's games. Probably due to the fact I am struggling. I will most likely be taking the night off. Have my eye on a couple, but with the last two days being off, I feel it is probably best to watch the games and regroup tomorrow.

Good luck with everyone's plays tonight.

4-4 -70 since officially keeping records.

the things that vision23x never seems to get:

    1) why are you on this thread if you don't agree with sportsmavin
    2) SportsMavins "minions" ....we aren't his prisoners.....just like your choice to come on here and bother this thread over something that has no effect on your life, it is are choice to come on this thread and follow a pick or not....which once again this thread isn't just about the picks to begin with....
3)good luck winning 52 percent of your picks....take the -110 line with that and you actually have lost money
4)your quote: "pretty prideful for a person whos losing"....it's when you are losing, that you really need your pride.....which if you want to go 52 percent wise, like an idiot...then he is easily winning....and he will be up at the end of this month anyway....
    5) your quote:" I don't live or die by the positives of one day or one week."  Yeah neither does he, thats part of what he preaches, if you read through the thread, you would have already known that
6)your quantity over quality statement literally makes zero sense.  If you took no quality in that, then you would basically just be choosing random teams, with a 10 percent decline to start with.....
    7) Then you actually say well quality picks can suck on any given day.  Besides that just being an idiotic statement, you basically just answered the question of why not to bet quantity???  Your saying quality can suck sometimes, but then betting as many times as you can with "the quality picks that can suck on any given day" would be better????....that way you could turn a bad day, into a terrible day....oh ok that makes sense....
    8) This being the biggest thing, the first thing that is obvious about you, is that you only care about yourself.  So, why is it, that you constantly are like trying to defend the fact, that we his "minions" shouldn't follow his picks.  Get a clue buddy, nobody cares about your advice, we all make are own decisions.....and not everybody is here just for picks, but if they were, that would be there decision.  Either way though, we are all on here for something.....heres the question you should ask yourself??  If i don't like his advice or his picks....then why am i on here???
