Running late today so Im not gonna put down the trend stuff. However I will tell you that my bets today consist of plays where I think I have an advantage against the line! The Denver bet is also one where I think something special is happening.
MIN Timberwolves +14.5
CLE Cavaliers +7
DEN Nuggets -5
Good God have mercy!
So far we are on the Nuggets- lets see how the line moves throughout the day- the Heat line is also very interesting. Does the buck stop in Milwaukee ? Do the Heat BUCK the trend in Milwaukee? you get it you get it you get it? As a Heat/King James fan I hope the BUCK does not stop there and Milwaukee does not BUCK the heat trend.

I have been fallowing you guys for 2 weeks now, and I did use some of your picks and made some money. I am betting only on NBA games and I have been red hot lately. I beleive the time has come for me to do some contribution. From now on I will post my picks too and try to be helpful.
1)Minnesota(5 th - Northwest)
at
Houston(3 rd - Southwest)
Minnesota has still lot's of injured players and houston is trying to secure his place for play offs. I am expecting a big win from houston so HOUSTON(-14.5)
2)Orlando(4 th - Southeast)
at
Oklahoma City(1 st - Northwest)
Orlando is putting a fight at home but on the road they are terrible. Thunder is a team without a mercy and they are playing an incredible offense. I believe thunder will destroy Orlando's defense and I am expecting a blow out so THUNDER(-16)
I hope I can make it!!! a little nervous right now:D

I'm thinking the Buck stops in Milwaukee! Heat have struggled with the Bucks and in Milwaukee in the past 2 years. I think this line is begging us to bet Heat, as the Nuggets Line is begging us to bet Grizzlies. I'm going opposite on both and playing Bucks and Nuggets.

While I think you make sense to certain extent- You should not use two years to track a teams history- While it shows historical trends I think and chime in if you disagree is that that for a handicapper/analyst record a long trend view is warranted when it comes to teams it should not be because in the new ERA of sports teams change from year to year roster wise and from game to game when it comes to spirit/injuries/meaning of certain games. That being said the 1H of the year the Heat went through a stretch where they could not beat the bad teams and blowing up huge leads, 2H has been a diff story. When it comes down the wire (more so in MLB and NFL than the NBA) one must look at what the game means and what playoff implications it brings. In the Nuggets game they want to keep their home record of 3 loses intact- OKC gets put to the test at home today so does Denver-

BTW the Denver line was -7 at open went to 5.5 then to 5- those that like the move would bet Memphis I see it as a good bet at -5 at -7 I would not have taken it- Mia opened at -10 and is now floating at -6.5 and -6

My writeup on the Bucks will explain more. But I heard Flip Saunders breaking down the game on ESPN Radio this morning. He says the Heat struggles with Milwaukee lie with Jennings (who can create his own shot). I totally agree with the you that you shouldn't use multiple years as trends, but in this sample, Jennings is a constant. This year, Heat won in OT in Miami, Lost by 19 in Milwaukee. I said Bucks +6 earlier and it is now at +5.5... I think this is a good sign as well!
Also, I think you are totally spot on with your Nuggets breakdown!

The only thing that is keeping me off this Heat game so far is what is in it for the Heat other than the streak? That being said if I were to pick a side I would go with the experience and King James on this one.
Thanks for the kudos on Denver write but it is just a write up until the end of the game.

Lol, and King James defies betting logic!!!! Also, the counter to my argument is; if Flip Saunders was a good coach, he would have done a little better in DC!

like this play a lot too MusicMatt, probably gona put it in my plays tonight, rlm to support this, thinking about the over also.but for now:
bulls have given up 120pts or more only twice this season and both times they have come back with low scoring wins, I see this trend continuing.

i don't see anything weird with this Heat game.. it's not RLM.. as i see majority of bets are actually on Milwaukee and the line has dropped accordingly.. public isn't pounding the heat which is a problem.. i personally think the heat will win tonight.. They know that the struggle with Milwaukee.. they're looking for revenge in this game and are focused.. i feel too many people are predicting Milwaukee to end the streak and i don't see it happening this way.. too expected for King James to go down again.. just a personal opinion, but i'll probably be betting Heat tonight

Bulls played awful, especially that their opponent was SAC. Bulls are 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Golden State.
DAL on B2B after a disappointing Loss. Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Dallas.
Heat have a tough time covering against the Bucks however you cant ignore the fact that they have been on a tear
I am short on time at the moment but would like to know if someone can run the spread numbers or find it on covers as to what the heat have done on their 20 win streak against the spread and the totals- thanks.

I think this could be a perfect situation for the Lakers. It is really hard to combine the ego's and
talents of elite players. I think it
will be easier for the newcomers to adapt without Kobe who seems to control how
many things are done in LA to begin with.
So I expect Dwight Howard to go off, causing him to be more active on
the defensive side.
·Lakers are 6-1 ATS in
their last 7 games following a S.U. loss.
·Lakers are 5-1 ATS in
their last 6 games following a ATS loss.
·Pacers are 0-4 ATS in
their last 4 games following a S.U. win.
·Pacers are 0-4 ATS in
their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
I listen to ESPN Radio all day at work.
Flip Saunders came on and predicted the Bucks would outright Win. He said the Heat have had recent struggles
against the Bucks, and listed the reasons why.
You can find a video of the breakdown on ESPN. I think that was all I needed to throw me over
the edge for a Bucks play. This
"type" of line reminds me of the other day when someone was talking
about people outside trying to fool you in to going in the strip club. "I say, NO!"
The Bulls have only lost 3 games in a row once this
year! "I'm probably most
disappointed in myself," said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau after the most
lopsided loss in his three seasons as coach. "My job is to have them
ready. We can't come out like that. That's on me. I have to drive harder. I
have to get the intensity up. And I will. Trust me on that."

i disagree about the heat breakdown with all due respect.. i mean its flip saunders.. good for him.. BUT it's all over the espn radio airwaves now.. MIAMI struggles against milwaukee watch out everyone.. i don't think it's a secret anymore. This game is not like the bulls-3 vs sacramento lol(the game you were referring to with the stripclub reference).. bucks are a far better team than sacramento, and heat are better team than chicago.. by all means you may be right with your bet..but i honestly just get the feeling that the Heat know they struggle against MIL, and they know everyone else knows that, they care about the streak, not more than the big picture, but care enough to get their revenge on a team that just lost to the Washington Wizards.. One of us will be right sir, but my gut says Miami is out to prove ol' Flip Saunders and others wrong
