Din t he lose like 15 grand betting NFL last season? I remember him chasing a loss like there is no tomorrow. Good to see him not chasing this time around.
if my losses make you hard - yes - i lost (not 15 grand) on this season's nfl. don't want to get you down - but i won two previous seasons big. but that will be turn off for you i am sure to remember.
but, if you want a healthy life in your bedroom - don't think about my nba playoffs season. we don't want to disappoint your boyfriend now - do we?

To add to SCO316's comments, which I think is on point....the better storyline would be if GSW wins it. We all know LBJ is the league's star. If he (the Cavs) win it, it would be ho-hum he did it again but if GSW takes it....what a storyline. To add that this, I heard Mark Jackson will be calling the games. You know he almost teared up when they won the other night. Even though they sh!t canned him he still has friends on the team and the players got love for him (see Draymond Green bear hug him after the game). I can envision Curry being interviewed by Jackson at the end of the clincher saying "we did this for you too coach" Jackson tears up and they hug.....as Steph is carrying Riley!! Lol just my two cents or dollars!! But I'm Biased cuz I'm from da Bay!! Lol Go Dubs!!!

Phix I don't see the league letting a Euro coach win it all at the helm 1st time, also don't see the league letting LeBron go wherever he wants and instantly win it all, it dilutes the talent level and sends the wrong message. I think Kerr is a good enough coach to get it done in crunch time and I can't see Cavs staying in games when Curry and/or Klay get hot. Just wait til Delladova pulls some bush league crap on a W's player and then the W's light em up like a Xmas tree. This is Adam Silver's Finals after all and I anticipate a free for all All Star tempo so will look to pounce on the over as there will be a 117-116 game, but which one?
I'm curious of how this plays out. I tend to agree with the other posters that the best thing for the league is a Warriors Championship, especially with them moving across the Bay to a new arena soon.

since the rangers lost and we are having few beers in the suite before hitting the road for a long a tedious journey home after such pathetic loss to tb - i will use the time and answer generally what seems like some of you thinking i;m on cavs for the series.
i dont know who is going to be a champion. and even if i did - i can change my mind fifty times a day. like each one of you. sometimes one small piece of info or the data is enough to change our perspectives.
i am not sure who at all can now say that one team is better than another or who nba really wants to be a champion or what style adam silver likes if at all. i dont know. no one does. not even those who may or not may be told how to act when time comes. if i was them i'd keep the cards close to my chest and will act on need to know bases only. as you saw i left the game seven open.
calling blatt a euro coach in a league where thibodeu is considered a coach, in a league where besides pop there are no real coaches, not even one - calling blatt a euro coach with negative meaning is a mistake.
being an nba coach is being a part of the system. blatt is not that. one of his players is but not him. as i stated in my comment on mellosingnet's thread - lbj was forced on blatt and he had no choice but to have him otherwise he would not take a player like lbj who is disgrace to a team play.
if i was a coach i would never want a player like lbj on my team. none of you paid attention to the fact that his so called "best numbered" game with a triple double was his worse game by the same numbers missing over 25 shots. he can be a weapon at times but he is a pawn. he is million miles from mj. and will always stay there.
i like the cavs - i like kyrie and kevin kove, i like delavedova and jr smith. they would be better off without lbj. thompson is a great committment player like others - lbj is an individualist playing basketball - that is why no matter how many rings he will get and how many buzzer beaters he will produce - he will always stay a small time crook player and will never even elevate to the level of kobe.
i know i am hurting lost of people ut that is my truth whether you like it or not.
now the warriors with curry are too new to this level and experience means a lot. but they are lucky that they are facing a team with similar experience at this level. the only difference is that the cavs have a coach who won thing or two. no one mentions here that he won the european championship with russia against all odds and only remember his recent win of the euroleague with maccabi tel aviv from israel. you did not see the odds he was facing with both of the teams mentioned. he is a best in game coach i have ever seen. the best. one that can change the flow of the game by producing the match up no one thought about. he is consistent and self confident. lbj is a dbag for treating him in a way that we will think that lbj is coaching the cavs and not blatt. pop would never have a player like lbj on his team. can you argue that?
so. it is actually blatt against curry and lbj and not curry against lbj. who will win? if blatt wins over lbj - the cavs are the champions. if not - the warriors. and the later is closer to the high probability than the earlier. why? because we are not accepting a better people for only reason that they are not yet corrupted as we are

Why would the public be on Cavs game 1? Usually isnt the public on the home team game 1? and the home team here is GSW, so why would the public go against them game 1?

I don't know how you can say those things about Lebron. Have you seen the way he tries to involve the other guys towards the end of the game? Forcing Dely to do the ball handling

if you are being sarcastic towards lbj - 10 points to you. if you seriously are saying what youre saying - i got nothing more to add to your perspective in retrospective

I believe this is LeBrons year. This just seems like too good an opportunity to blow for LeBron. Curry and Thompson arent particularly dominant with the shot clock dwindling down and I think in a close game this will get exposed. Experience means alot, for that reason I think having LeBron to attack and hit open guys for 3's could be the difference. Nobody gave the Cavs a shot when they were 19-20 and most people have dismissed the East as downright terrible. Lebron has a lot to prove and I think he will show why he is the true MVP and the best player in the game today.

Stopped reading after the second one. Sorry bud, but you're way off on this one. Cavs would have been eliminated in the regular season or first round without Lbj. What on God's green earth are you talking about? You must not know basketball one bit if you aren't going to give Lebron the credit he deserves. Yes, that 37 FGA game was pathetic. Everybody talking about how he stuffed the stat sheet. That was an average game AT BEST. I agree with you there. But 5 straight finals? You're sitting here talking about this guy being a pawn and he's gone to 5 straight finals. Lol ok.

Couldn't agree more on LBJ. The fake injuries are all part of promoting the LBJ brand. He saw how much respect MJ got by playing through REAL injuries and the flu, so now it is part of his LBJ playbook. No doubt he is a real talent; doesn't mean he is not a selfish fraud.

i'm becoming an expert in turning the righteous against me. lol. i remember the reaction of the same righteous squad with different players raising the eyebrow each time i said american professional sports particularly and world professional sports generally are exactly what they are called - professional. not competitive - but professional. i am sure the same righteous wing knows the difference between professional and competitive as nothing can be at the same time professional and competitive as in professional sports you are conducting business while in competitive you are competing. that is the reason olympic sports had a hard time accepting professional competitors then because of totally different reasons and today for the reasons i am talking about.
i was asked here on the thread when did nba in my opinion became wwe. well, wwe is more competitive than nba during the regular season, may be wwf.
now, when i have you all the righteous defenders of american professional sports as competitive one all in one corner asking to linch me before i go any further - show me the money...
because i can by handicapping my way with my convictions. can you do the same with yours?

those who even think of lbj in terms of mj are ones who never witnessed mj playing. never witnessed what price mj paid for his straightforward comptitivenes by losing closest person. they never saw how he was chased away from nba to mlb after winning three in a row and turning nba into his playing garden. .only to comeback with vengeance .they never witnessed the strategy of the opposing coaches how to defend against him - just dont get him pissed.
lbj? only agenda lbj has is his own self promoting. if lbj was to be at least 10% of the person mj was he would stick with the cavs and buid a dynasty there but he needed "friends" to get the ring. mj was making any player next to him into a superstar. lbj needs superstars around him to make it. and his unfair treatment of his coach blatt is the testimony about what kind of a person he is.

Yo phix, love the write up as always. I like your analysis here but the question is this? Is the NBA gonna hand the title to the cavs in year one with blatt at the helm? Are the cavs gonna be able to go out, pick up three huge free agents and then just win it all without paying any sort of dues. what's best for basketball in my eyes is that lebron gets beat this year, comes back next year on a roar, wins the MVP, they get the best record and then they win the title AT HOME. Not on the road; i mean let's be honest If these things are scripted which I wouldn't doubt at times, the fans in Cleveland DESERVE a title on their home court. I think curry and the Warriors paid their dues last year losing in a game 7 and with everything right here to be taken, the other franchise in California gets their title with the MVP this year.
To build a rivalry here it's gotta be curry winning first not lebron because if lebron wins it this year, there will be no rivalry. Let's be honest, next year the cavs are gonna be very good, better than this year especially if love is back . They will be the deepest team in the league and they will be hungry. If golden state wins, all of the sudden you got yourself a rivalry because 1. Curry won the MVP. 2. He beat lebron in a finals 3. It give the cavs a reason to maybe look elsewhere for a more reputable coach who lebron RESPECTS. Back in the day, we knew MJ would win it every year yet there was actually talent back then as opposed to this era so if lebron gets his path paved for him ALREADY in Cleveland, I just think this league suffers. But if they win, going forward, with the watered down league and overrated superstars in it, not many people are gonna watch lebron win titles with ease. The game is already struggling, it's just too boring and predictable. You have said it yourself, the new regime is trying to make things less obvious rather than in the stern years when things were very obvious. If curry and golden state win, it's not as obvious. I think the cavs sweep in the last series was the best thing for the league in that golden state took 5 in their series. People are gonna be all over the cavs right now yet the better basketball team is GS. I see a split after 4 games and then I see game 5 being epic. I think everyone will be on the cavs that game considering it will be in Cleveland so I think golden state wins that one. From there, golden state has 2 games to win one and I think it gets done in 6. Lebron storms off the court like a baby, him and blatt have issues leading up to that and in the summer months, blatt gets let go. Again, next year, lebron goes on a tear, wins the MVP, they challenge for 70 wins and they win the championship at home. Can't write it any better. Hopefully I didn't lose anyone and hopefully it all makes sense. Until June 4, stay cool everyone and .

Again, next year, lebron goes on a tear, wins the MVP, they challenge for 70 wins and they win the championship at home. Can't write it any better. Hopefully I didn't lose anyone and hopefully it all makes sense. Until June 4, stay cool everyone and .
Lol Go Dubs!!!

i don't deny he's a great athlete. may be greatest we have ever seen after mj. he's a greater athlete than mj in his last two seasons when he already did not have the knees to penetrate the way he used to.
he's a great go to guy as well and also a great buzzer beater.
the problem? ne has no soul. and i do not blame him. all who saw what nba and vegas did to mj after he won first 3 championships and understood the meaning that they have to sacrifice what mj did in order not to submit and surrender - learned a lesson and knew not to mess with whom you not supposed to. leave alone that mj after his retirement joined the forces with those who he beat on the court and himself became that force. the fact that today no basketball player can do what he really likes to do is a given reality. except pop - and now i believe blatt and kerr.
lbj - the reason i wouldn't have him on my team is the same pop wouldn't have on his team because he is uncoachable. he is not the team player but he uses the team to promote himself.
that's it.
whether you like to hear it or not.
but then what do i know?

the way the lines are set for the series -gs should take the cavs in 5-6 games. i dont buy it. not yet. but that is given fact. check the lines. paying 138 dollars to win 100 dollars with cavs +1.5 seems like vegas went nuts. that is why game one stays in gs - otherwise - the hedging alone would make us money without almost risking any.

Lbj can't stand in mjs shadow. He can't even touch Kobe. Everything you said about MJ and lbj is spot on phix. The issue is that not many in here have seen MJ play . They haven't seen his hunger to win at all costs. There may never be anyone like him again. The league wants so bad to have a go to superstar that will carry the league; they have handed everything to lebron because of this and it makes me sick. Nothing ever comes hard for this guy. Jordan earned everything all while having the absolute stingiest owner and gm at the time. MJ in his prime would wax lebron; no contest.
