After a T2 finish last week in the opening tournament for LIV, Jon Rahm enters the week as the favorite and Neil Parker has no issues backing the Spaniard as the favorite.

After Adrian Meronk's (+10000) wire-to-wire victory last week in Riyadh, the scene shifts to Adelaide for the second event on the LIV golf calendar.

Jon Rahm currently leads the LIV Golf Adelaide odds with Tyrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau close behind.

LIV Golf Adelaide picks and predictions

Pick to win: Jon Rahm (+650 at bet365)

Rahm hit 47 of 54 greens to tie for the field lead in GIR% at Riyadh Golf Club last week, but he didn’t fully capitalize and tied for 18th in putting average during his T2 finish. He finished T3 in Adelaide last year, and I expect a few more putts to fall this week to lead the way to his third LIV Golf victory.

This is also a steal of a number at bet365, with Caesars pricing the Spaniard as short as +525 to win this week. The difference attaches a positive expected value of 20% to the bet365 odds and an extra $125 profit on a $100 dollar wager.

Pick to win: Dean Burmester (+2600 at FanDuel)

The South African is coming off a solid T4 in the Riyadh event and has consecutive Top 10 finishes at Adelaide, including a T3 last season. Burmester also won the LIV Miami event in 2024 to add to his four DP World Tour victories and eight other worldwide wins.

I also value Burmester finishing fourth in driving distance, third in greens-in-regulation percentage, and tied for ninth in birdie average to open the LIV season at Riyadh Golf Club last week.

Additionally, I’d add a Top 10 wager for Burmester, with DraftKings offering the best price at +170. It’s also worth noting that BetMGM has a Top 10 with ties priced at +150.

Top Asian: Anirban Lahiri (-130 at bet365)

There are only three players in this market, and neither Yubin Jang nor Max Lee can match the worldwide success, talent, or track record that Anirban Lahiri brings to the table at this event.

Lahiri followed up his solo second at LIV Adelaide in 2023 with a T14 finish last year, and he’s also coming off a solid T12 in LIV Riyadh last week. Jung finished 49th and Lee finished 40th in the Riyadh event.

Grange Golf Club course notes

This will be the third consecutive year The Grange Golf Club will play host to LIV Golf Adelaide, and both the East and West courses will be merged to form a blended Par 72 course that will play to 7,039 yards.

Firm and fast greens will be a primary defense of the short track, but make no mistake, there will be plenty of circles on the cards and low scores this week. Brendan Steele won at -18 in 2024, and Talor Gooch did one better at -19 to win in 2023.

Of course, the infamous No. 12 “Watering Hole” is sure also to make a splash. The Par 3 is surrounded by marquees and stadium seating a la the rambunctiousness witnessed last week in the WM Phoenix Open on No. 16 at TPC Scottsdale.

LIV Golf Adelaide field and favorites

After taking a backseat to Tyrell Hatton on last week's betting board, Jon Rahm is back leading the pack ahead of this week's LIV Adelaide event, and rightfully so.

Rahm impressed with a T2 finish last week and with his game still among the world's best, he has the ability to win every LIV event he plays in.

Behind him, Tyrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau are within touching distance after both golfers finished T6 at -13.

It'll be interesting to see if the creme can rise to the top down under after Adrian Meronk's longshot win at +10000 odds.
