Hard Rock Digital has a new director of product of operations at an important time for the legal sports betting and iGaming company.

Martin Arthur, formerly of Flutter Entertainment, recently announced his new role at Hard Rock Digital via his LinkedIn account.

“Now, I am incredibly excited to be taking on a new challenge with Hard Rock Digital as Director of Product Operations. Ready to rock with some familiar faces and a talented team!”

Arthur brings 15 years of industry experience to Hard Rock. He spent nearly a decade serving in various roles with PokerStars and was VP of product and program management for the sportsbook division Betstars.

Arthur joined Flutter in 2019 and was one of the sports betting company’s U.S. division founding members. That division includes sportsbook giant FanDuel, which has become one of the top market share operators in the U.S.

Fascinating time to join Hard Rock

Parent company Hard Rock International recently named Vincent Zahn executive VP and CFO. Zahn comes from a gaming industry background with his financial work as a former executive at Pinnacle and Wynn Resorts.

Hard Rock Bet’s online sportsbook relaunched in limited fashion in Florida on Tuesday despite a court battle that initially shut down the Seminole Tribe-owned online operator in Florida two years ago.

The Seminole Tribe, which has a compact with the state, is also launching retail sportsbooks in December following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Allowing mobile sports betting has been the biggest court issue.

Getting entrenched in a heavily populated, sports-rich state like Florida with a mobile app would provide a significant boost for Hard Rock and represent good timing for Arthur to join operations.
