Bonus hunters looking to score big when North Carolina sports betting launches on March 11 have plenty of options.

With eight online sportsbooks beginning operations on that Monday at noon and pre-registration currently underway, newcomers and experienced bettors alike can take advantage of bonus bets and incentives. Some are offered for just simply signing up, but most come with a seven-day window to use the promotional credits.

Here’s a guide to what bettors can cash in before and after sports betting in the Tar Heel State launches.

Get off to a great start

While wagering can’t begin under North Carolina law until the launch date, accounts can be set up and funded immediately. Doing so can result in promotional credits and extra bonuses once wagering is underway.

FanDuel and DraftKings are both offering new customers $100 if they pre-register and then $200 once a $5 bet is placed. No promo code is necessary for either sportsbook bonus, giving new players a $300 head start.

Get options

Bettors looking for choices with a single sportsbook can use bet365 promo code COVERS with the bet365 app or on the website to claim either a “bet $5, get $150” offer or the “$1,000 First Bet Safety Net” promo.

Pre-registration at bet365 will net customers $100 in bonuses with a deposit of at least $10.

Get compensated for betting

ESPN BET has been handing out promotional credits at a healthy rate in new markets since it took over as PENN Entertainment’s platform in Nov. 2023.

North Carolina is no different, as the recognizable brand is giving new customers $150 after their first wager, win or lose.

Get free gear

Fanatics Sportsbook, a relative newcomer to the sports betting industry but a titan in the sports merchandise and memorabilia business, is giving new customers a unique set of bonuses with no promo code needed. Not only can users pick up $100 when signing up for an account, but a $50 deposit comes with a $60 promotional credit to use on new gear from fans’ favorite teams on the Fanatics merchandise site.

The online sportsbook is also offering a “10X$100” bonus. If new customers wager at least $5 on any market of -200 or longer for the first 10 days, they’ll receive $100 for each day as long as the bets are placed consecutively.

Get familiar brands

Caesars is a name already familiar to bettors who have visited one of the two Harrah’s Cherokee casinos in the Tar Heel State. The online and retail sportsbook powers both and will certainly attract new North Carolina customers looking to cash in on the “Bet $1, Get 7 100% Profit Boosts” bonus using Caesars promo code COVERSBONUSDBL

BetMGM, a known commodity even outside of North Carolina because of its branding in Las Vegas, is giving new customers $200 in bonuses with BetMGM promo code COVERSBONUS, but it can only be used either by simply signing up pre-launch or after sports betting goes live in the Tar Heel State.

Get a newbie

Underdog Sportsbook is making its debut in North Carolina. The daily fantasy sports operator is branching out to a traditional online sportsbook, and to get things started, it’s offering new customers a “First Bet Mulligan” promo.

If a user’s initial wager loses, they get to place another one of up to $1,000 on the house.
