Starting pitchers
Jose Suarez (5-6, 3.88 ERA): The southpaw rebounded well after a string of rough starts, holding the powerful Yankees to two runs on four hits over five innings of work in his last outing. Prior to that, Suarez had posted a 6.75 ERA over four outings, and he has still yet to complete six innings in any of his seven starts.
Cal Quantrill (3-2, 3.24 ERA): The 26-year-old has excelled since making the full-time move to the Indians' rotation, putting up a 3.26 ERA over his last 13 starts and recording a quality start in six of his last eight outings. He had his shortest outing since mid-July his last time out, holding the Twins to three runs over five innings of work.

Moneyline pick
Despite having the odds-on AL MVP favorite as the focal point of their offense, the Angels' bats have gone downhill in a hurry and erased any hope they had of making a playoff push, which was slim to begin with.
The Angels are 28th in OPS since the All-Star break after ranking fifth during the first half of the season. They've stopped clubbing homers and they aren't hitting for average, either, sitting Bottom-5 post-ASG in both categories after being one of MLB's best in both departments ahead of the Midsummer Classic.
Shohei Ohtani can't do everything, as much as he tries, and with him being the only real productive bat in this lineup, Los Angeles simply doesn't have enough offense to make up for its lackluster pitching.
And that offense will be tested tonight, with a surging Quantrill on the bump. The righty has surrendered three runs or fewer in nine consecutive outings and has lowered his ERA from 4.20 to 3.24 since the start of July.
Quantrill has gone six-plus innings in five of his last six starts and will have a great shot to do so again in this plus matchup. While Cleveland's offense is far from prolific, the club has swung the bats better since the ASG and it has a big edge in the starting pitcher matchup tonight.
At a solid -125 price tag, back the favorites to complete the sweep and continue to make L.A. look like a Little League team.
PREDICTION: Cleveland (-125)
Over/Under pick
While Cleveland's offense has shown improvement over the last month, the club is still 18th in OPS post-ASG and it has done a poor job of hitting lefties all season.
The Tribe are 25th in wRC+ versus southpaws and 26th in on-base percentage, giving the inconsistent Suarez a good opportunity to escape with limited damage before turning it over to the bullpen. Los Angeles' bullpen is a concern, though, ranking 22nd in ERA and 24th in WHIP on the season, so this is where we're expecting the Indians to break the game open.
Cleveland's 'pen, meanwhile, has done a strong job this season and will have little trouble continuing the fine work it has already put together this series. Tribe relievers have thrown seven scoreless innings and should only be needed for a couple of frames tonight with the way Quantrill (1.88 ERA in four August starts) has been throwing.
We have little confidence in the Angels' offense outside of Ohtani and feel Suarez can keep the Tribe in check for the most part. With the Under going 7-3 in the last 10 meetings and in each of Quantrill's last seven starts, we're backing it again tonight.
