The San Francisco Giants scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to knot their three-game series with the Texas Rangers.

With the momentum clearly on San Francisco’s side, my Rangers vs. Giants predictions expect the good vibes to continue this afternoon. Read on for my MLB picks for Sunday, April 27.

Rangers vs Giants prediction

My Rangers vs Giants best bet: Giants moneyline (-130 at Caesars)

The San Francisco Giants have won four of six at Oracle Park behind solid pitching and timely hitting from a Giants lineup scoring the seventh-most runs in baseball.

The Giants' sticks have only scored three runs during the first two games of this series, but could catch a break as Texas Rangers righty Jack Leiter hasn’t pitched in one month. Leiter dazzled before his stint on the IL. The Rangers' young gun allowed only six hits and one earned run with a strikeout per nine across 10 frames.

He’ll likely be on a pitch count today. Leiter’s 2.86 xFIP and .247 BABIP combination suggests the cold Giants bats could heat up today.

Giants’ righty Jordan Hicks blanked the Astros on Opening Day but has since allowed 20 earned runs across 21 1/3 frames. His advanced metrics suggest he could get some relief from his struggles against a below-average Rangers offense.

Each club has struggled to score in this series, but the Giants have the better offense, and momentum is clearly on their side.
I’ll bet on the Giants' bats to win this game today.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Rangers vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Giants moneyline

Leody Taveras Under 0.5 hits

Under 8

Both games of this series have been low-scoring nail-biters, and today’s rubber game will likely continue this trend. The Rangers are one of the lowest-scoring clubs in baseball. Texas games have ended Under the game total in nine of their previous 10, including both games of this series.

One reason behind Texas’s offensive struggles has been Leody Taveras. He’s missed both games of this series but has one hit in his previous 11 at-bats. I expect his slump to continue today.

The Giants are 4-6 O/U in their last 10. The Giants' bats have been slumping, and Leiter was placed on the IL before spitting seeds. Both bullpens have been lights out, and neither offense is plating runs. Give me the Under.
