Blue Jays vs Brewers Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Tonight’s MLB Game

Jose Berrios has been an inning eater for the Jays this season while sporting a remarkable ERA, and our MLB picks expect him to mow down Milwaukee's batters tonight.

It may not feel like it, but the Toronto Blue Jays are just two games out of a Wild Card spot heading into their matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers on June 10.

With Jose Berrios taking the bump for Toronto, my Blue Jays vs. Brewers predictions are expecting a low-scoring affair. Find out my thought process in the MLB picks ahead!

Blue Jays vs Brewers prediction

My best bet
Under 8.5 (-122 at PROLINE+)

My analysis
The Milwaukee Brewers' lineup has really taken off this season, but if there's someone who can cool those bats down, it’s Jose Berrios.

Berrios is the reason the Toronto Blue Jays aren’t bigger underdogs, with the two-time All-Star sporting a 2.80 ERA while holding opponents to two earned runs or fewer in 11 of his 13 starts this season.

Berrios’ performance has created an interesting scenario for bettors. Considering how Toronto's lineup has been wildly inconsistent, Berrios has been an absolute Under machine — with games going 10-3 that way when he takes the ball. Even with the Brewers countering with Colin Rea, I like this trend to continue.

Rea has found a little rhythm lately, allowing just three earned runs on 12 hits in 15 innings over his last three starts, which came against the Red Sox, Cubs, and Phillies.

Besides, it’s Rea’s job to get through four or five innings before handing the ball to a Brew Crew bullpen ranking sixth in ERA and ninth in xFIP. Either way, they’ll face a Jays lineup sitting 23rd in OPS with runners in scoring position.

Blue Jays star player prop

My best bet
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBIs (+162 at PROLINE+)

The Blue Jays need to do a better job overall of producing runs, but you can’t put any blame on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Vladdy is hitting an impressive .358 with a .950 OPS since May 5 (31 games), and you can tell he’s really locked in right now with as many walks (18) as strikeouts over that span. Combine that with Toronto showing more flexibility and willingness to put hot hitters higher up in the lineup, Guerrero has been given more opportunities to drive in runs. And he’s done just that.

Guerrero has 19 RBI over this 31-game stretch, and it certainly doesn’t hurt his power is returning with four extra-base hits — including two dingers — over his last seven games.

Additionally, our Covers prop projections have a projection of 0.7 RBI, meaning the Over at this price is a five-star play!

Blue Jays vs Brewers spread and Over/Under analysis

  • The Blue Jays actually opened this interleague matchup as slight road favorites, but the home team has seen the early action, and it's now the Brewers who are slight faves.
  • Most of the Blue Jays' success recently has come against lesser competition as big favorites, and they are just 3-9 in their last 12 games as underdogs.
  • The total hit the board at 8.5 but some 8s are starting to pop up as of Monday afternoon.
  • As noted, the Blue Jays have been a great Under bet with Berrios pitching and are 29-36 O/U for the season.

Find the balance between the numbers and what you see on the playing field. Then find the best price using multiple books. And don’t ask him where the nickname Taco comes from. It’s not an interesting story. Seriously.
