Despite several notable names lining the IL, the Los Angeles Dodgers have won six of their last eight games, including Monday’s 3-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox. They’re set for Game 2 on June 25 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

My analysis
The Los Angeles Dodgers are glad to have Bobby Miller back in the rotation with so many impact contributors on the shelf. After missing over two months with right shoulder inflammation, the 25-year-old returned to the fold last Wednesday to bolster his team’s starting pitching.
That’ll be more important than ever as star Mookie Betts remains out due to a broken left hand. The lineup still contains a potent top four of Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, Freddie Freeman, and Teoscar Hernandez — but things get a little murkier after that.
The bottom of the order has been a dead zone all year, and swapping Betts for Miguel Rojas is going to hurt no matter how you slice it. The 35-year-old’s .284 BA and .764 OPS this year may look fine, but keep in mind he has a long track record of sub-replacement level performance with a career 83 wRC+.
Chicago White Sox starter Chris Flexen’s surface-level numbers (5.03 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) are a bit rough, but he’s found his groove lately. The veteran righty has limited his opposition to three runs or fewer in 10 of his last 13 starts.
As for Miller, he still needs to shake off some rust but this forecasts as an excellent spot to do just that. The White Sox have been the league’s most inept offense against right-handed pitching, with a 65 wRC+ and .258 wOBA across the last 15 days.
Miller made 22 starts a year ago, and his line was mighty impressive for a 24-year-old — he finished with a 3.40 xERA and 3.51 FIP with a 17.2% K-BB rate. He’s one of the hardest throwers in the league (98 mph average fastball velo) and possesses immense potential, so we likely see him get back on track against the MLB’s worst team.
The White Sox are 15-22 O/U at home, including a 1-5 O/U stretch in their last six at Guaranteed Rate, while the Dodgers are 17-22 O/U on the road. I’ll bet on yet another Under coming through on Tuesday.
Dodgers vs White Sox same-game parlay (SGP)
We have one of the best teams in baseball going against the worst. It may be best not to overcomplicate things and stay simple, and the Dodgers’ run line can be had for a fair price. They’re 22-17 against the run line in away games and have won four of their last five road games against Chicago
Flexen has command issues, ranking 89th in Location+ (98) out of 110 starting pitchers who have thrown at least 60 innings. He’s walked two or more batters in five of his last six starts.
The Dodgers are a tough matchup for the 29-year-old hurler if he hopes to find his command. They have the highest walk rate (10.3%) against RHP on the season, and that number hasn’t faltered lately — sitting at 10.7% across the last 15 days.
