The MLB season is chugging along, giving us more data points for wagering. However, these sample sizes aren’t that big yet, and it’s providing us some added value if you know where to look.
For instance, my favorite MLB player props for April 11 highlight a couple of perennial All-Stars who have had slow starts to the season and are just now starting to find their timing at the dish.
Best MLB player props today
Bubic Under 4.5 HA (+100 at bet365)
-
Trout Over 0.5 RBI (+170 at bet365)
-
Seager Over 1.5 TB (+125 at bet365)
MLB props for April 11
Kris Bubic Under 4.5 hits allowed (+100 at bet365)
A left hander is dealing to start the season for the Kansas City Royals, and I’m not talking about Cole Ragans.
Kris Bubic has been on an incredible journey after a UCL tear cost nearly all of 2023 and 2024. However, he returned in time to help the Royals' playoff push out of the bullpen and then earned a spot in the rotation out of camp. He is absolutely spinning right now.
Bubic hasn’t allowed a run on just seven hits while striking out 16 in 12 2/3 innings pitched in 2025. I like him to keep spinning it when he takes the ball tonight against the Cleveland Guardians.
The Guardians come into this series having won three in a row but are still looking to get more out of their bats. Cleveland is hitting just .212 as a team before this game, ranking 22nd in the big leagues.
The problem is they just aren’t making solid contact. The Guardians rank 26th in barrel rate, 28th in hard-hit percentage, and dead last in expected batting average. They're also getting punched out at a decent rate, striking out 22.8% of the time.
That has me thinking Bubic can continue his impressive start. So, give me Under 4.5 hits allowed for him in tonight’s matchup against the Guardians, which is better because we are getting even money on this bet.
Mike Trout Over 0.5 RBI (+170 at bet365)
Weirdly, we sometimes forget Mike Trout is still one of the best baseball players in the world.
Playing for the Los Angeles Angels probably has something to do with that, and a slow start to the season doesn’t help. But Trout is heating up and starting to look like the guy who finished Top 5 in MVP voting in nine straight seasons.
A quick look at Trout’s stats this season shows you a .205 batting average, and you probably think, “oof, that’s no good.” But you should know better when it comes to Trout by now. When he’s on the field, he’s one of the best.
Trout has hits in seven of his last eight games, including five home runs. He’s hitting .258 with a 1.169 OPS over that stretch with nine RBI, driving in at least one run in five of those games.
I like his odds of staying hot when he digs in against Houston Astros’ starter Ronel Blanco tonight.
Blanco was a nice story for the Astros last season, having a breakout season at 29 years old, which included a no-hitter. However, he struggled in the second half of 2024, which has continued into this season.
The RHP has given up seven runs on eight hits and six walks in just 6 2/3 innings pitched over two starts this season. He ranks in the 16th percentile in xERA and the 12th in xBA.
That should mean plenty of opportunities to get guys on ahead of Trout, allowing him to drive in at least another run. Not to mention, the price on this bet is like oddsmakers forgot how good Trout can be, too.
Corey Seager Over 1.5 total bases (+125 at bet365)
The last of my MLB picks looks at another perennial All-Star who’s off to a slow start in 2025. This time, I’m talking about Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager.
Like Mike Trout, Seager is an elite ballplayer who looks like he is starting to find his swing and gets a great matchup tonight against the Seattle Mariners.
Seager is hitting just .220 with a .712 OPS through his first 11 games. However, he's starting to get his timing down. Remember, this guy is a career .290 hitter with an .870 OPS, and now, the five-time All-Star has multiple hits in his last two games — including two home runs in Wednesday’s win over the Chicago Cubs.
That’s not a good thing for Mariners' starter Bryce Miller.
It’s been a rocky start to the season for Miller. The righty has given up seven earned runs on 13 hits and five walks in 11 innings pitched over two starts, and he won’t be happy to see Seager.
The Rangers’ shortstop has had Miller’s number. Seager is 3-for-5 with two walks in seven career plate appearances vs. Miller. That includes two dingers and works out to a .787 xBA and a 2.366 xSLG.
Give me Seager to go Over 1.5 total bases for the third straight game, which is still nicely priced thanks to his early-season slump.
