Today, we like Austin Riley to stay red hot while fading Cincinnati starter Hunter Green and backing Mets starter Carlos Carrasco in a favorable matchup.

Riley riled up

I went 3-0 in my MLB player prop picks last night and one of my bets was taking the Over 1.5 total bases for Atlanta's Austin Riley — who doubled against the Nationals.

We're going back to that play tonight with Washington sending Patrick Corbin to the mound. Corbin has been terrible this season — pitching to a 5.68 ERA in 17 starts — and opposing batters have an expected slugging percentage of .546 against him.

Riley is fifth in the majors in total bases with 175 and has been mashing against southpaws like Corbin, boasting a slugging percentage of .646. He's also been on fire lately, batting .472 with five doubles and three dingers in his last nine games.

Austin Riley Prop: Over 1.5 total bases (-130)

Hunter gets hunted

After mustering just a single run in a 2-1 loss last night, Tampa Bay will look to bounce back against the Reds today. Its bats should be able to get going with Cincy sending Hunter Greene to the hill. The 22-year-old has pitched to a 6.01 ERA in 16 starts while allowing a MLB-high 22 home runs.

The Rays haven't been mediocre at the dish this season, but they tend to hit better away from home and should be able to have success with the close outfield walls at Great American Ball Park.

With Greene surrendering at least three earned runs in four consecutive starts (posting an 8.85 ERA over that span) I'm taking the Over 2.5 on his earned runs total today.

Hunter Greene Prop: Over 2.5 earned runs (-115)

Punch out party for Carrasco

The New York Mets will have Carlos Carrasco toeing the rubber for tonight's showdown with the Miami Marlins. Carrasco is having a resurgent year with the Mets and is coming off a strong performance against the Rangers, where he fanned eight batters in 5 2-3 innings.

Carrasco doesn't have high-end velocity on his fastball, but he does have one of the best chase rates in the majors. The Marlins are one of the worst hitting teams in the majors and rank 22nd in strikeout rate.

With Carrasco striking out at least seven batters in four of his last six starts (which includes a June 17 matchup against the Marlins), I'm hammering the Over 5.5 strikeouts for the right-hander.

Carlos Carrasco Prop: Over 5.5 strikouts (+120)
