With their five-game win streak over after an extra-innings loss Saturday, the New York Yankees try to take three of four from the Tampa Bay Rays in the series finale Sunday.

My Yankees vs Rays predictions and MLB picks have New York’s high-powered offense taking advantage of the pitching matchup on April 20.

The New York Yankees looked like they were well on their way to a sixth consecutive win — up 6-1 in the fourth inning — but then the wheels came off in an eventual 10-8 game that went 10 innings.

The Yankees are second in the majors right now, averaging 5.81 runs per game, but yesterday was only the second time in the last six games they’ve scored more than five runs.

They’ll change that against Tampa Bay Rays' starter Ryan Pepiot, who’s 1-2 with a 4.91 ERA.

The 27-year-old righty is coming off his worst start of the year, getting blasted for nine hits and six earned runs over six innings in a 7-4 thumping at the hands of the Red Sox.

Pepiot was taken deep twice, the third straight start he’s allowed a home run.

New York should own the pitching matchup, as it counters with lefty Max Fried, who has won three straight starts with a 1.88 ERA.

He’s allowed just three earned runs over those starts in 19 1/3 innings of work, walking only three while striking out 24. The Yankees' bats will find enough support for Fried, who won’t need much to pick up a fourth-straight win.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Yankees vs Rays same-game parlay (SGP)

Yankees moneyline

Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases

Max Fried Over 6.5 strikeouts

After going hitless on Friday in a 1-0 win over Tampa, Aaron Judge bounced back in a big way Saturday, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. He’s now hitting .384 on the year, which ranks second in the majors. Judge has also collected at least two total bases in eight of his last 11 games.

Fried has gone back-to-back starts with at least seven punchouts.

With so few Rays players having faced him, I think it’s advantage pitcher, especially a lefty, and one who has allowed teams to hit just .235 against him on the year.
