Today’s best White Sox vs Yankees prop bets
H-I-T for IKF
FanDuel has Kiner-Falefa to get one hit at an extremely reasonable number, and it looks like a really solid play here. Kiner-Falefa is batting .271 for the Yankees this year, and he’s one of the few guys on the team that doesn’t constantly look for extra-base hits.
He simply plays to get himself on base, and he has done a good job of doing that of late Kiner-Falefa has gotten a hit in six of the last eight games, and he actually had multi-hit games in three of those six contests.
Kiner-Falefa also happens to be facing Michael Kopech in this game, and that’s something that is quite interesting when breaking down the matchup. The infielder has faced Kopech just five times in his career, but Kiner-Falefa is 4-for-5 in those at-bats.
Of course, that’s an extremely small sample size to base anything on, but the fact that he has had some success against Kopech is just a small added bonus.
Kiner-Falefa is also a player that prefers hitting right-handed pitchers, as he is batting .282 against them this season. He also has a better average against righties than lefties in his career, despite hitting from the right side of the plate.
Pick: Isiah Kiner-Falefa Over 0.5 hits (-180)
Anderson stays hot
Anderson has been absurdly difficult to get out recently, as the shortstop has gotten at least two hits in each of the last three games. He's had nine multi-hit games since the start of May, and he looks worth going back to the well tonight.
After all, Anderson has had at least two total bases in 12 of the 17 games he has played this month, and he’s now batting .350 with four homers and 15 RBI on the season.
Anderson is just clearly one of the best non-power hitters in baseball, as he looks like he is well on his way to a fourth straight year of batting at least .300. Now, the righty gets a matchup that might not be all that great on paper, but it’s also one that shouldn’t scare bettors off. Luis Severino has had a great season thus far, but he's given up at least five hits in four of his last seven starts.
If Severino is going to get knocked around a bit in a game with a total of 9 — which isn’t exactly low — it’s likely that Anderson will do some of the damage. With that, we’re taking a shot on him to have more than one total base in this spot.
Pick: Tim Anderson Over 1.5 total bases (-130)
Sunday Night Rizzo
It has been four games since Rizzo last hit a homer, but this has still been a great start to the year for the lefty slugger. Rizzo is currently on pace for 42 homers and 104 RBI for New York this year, and he has been a key part of the lineup.
The Yankees are rather short on lefty bats this year, so it’s huge having one like Rizzo that is capable of coming through with big hits in big spots.
Rizzo’s swing also happens to be a perfect fit for Yankee Stadium, which is why seven of his homers have come in the Bronx. He's good at getting around and under the ball, which makes it easy for him to pop it over the short porch in right field. That's ultimately what makes him worth taking a shot on to hit a bomb tonight.
Not only is Rizzo a great player when the lights are shining the brightest, but Kopech also happens to have some overpowering stuff. That’s generally a good thing for a pitcher, but it also means that any mistakes could mean that the ball will make its way to the bleachers.
All it takes is some decent contact on a high-speed pitch to send it the other way, and Rizzo knows that better than anyone. Kopech also happens to have pitched 35 innings without giving up a homer this year, so he’s due to let one go here — especially against this dangerous New York lineup.
Pick: Anthony Rizzo to hit a home run (+385)
