It may turn out to be too little, too late, but the Philadelphia 76ers have pivoted into draft pick preservation mode, making them a big road underdog tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.

Onyeka Okongwu Over 26.5 points + rebounds (-115 at bet365)
My analysis
Despite another underwhelming season for the Atlanta Hawks, there are some promising pillars for the franchise to retool around — and Onyeka Okongwu is high on that list.
Okongwu has been a double-double machine lately, and I love the Over on his points + rebounds combo prop tonight against a Philadelphia 76ers team short on frontcourt options.
He’s gone past this 26.5 O/U number in four of his last five outings, including a 16-point, 16-rebound effort in Saturday’s win over the Pacers, and he’ll have every opportunity to put together a similar stat line here.
Okongwu’s work on the glass provides a nice floor for this prop — he’s grabbed 9+ boards in each of his past six games — and he scores efficiently when the chances come his way. His 58% field goal percentage ranks 10th in the NBA this year.
The 76ers are without Joel Embiid while Andre Drummond only logged 10 minutes last night against the Jazz, so there’s every reason to expect Okongwu to feast in the paint. Though his path to easy buckets would be more complicated if Trae Young sits out with a quad issue, the Hawks have enough other playmakers to ensure their big man features in the offense.
Despite winning three of its past four games, Atlanta appears locked into a play-in spot. Still, homecourt advantage for the 7/8 matchup has to be the goal, and I’m counting on Okongwu to outwork the fading visitors tonight.

Both teams have hammered the Over this season — it’s 37-25-2 for Atlanta and 36-26-1 for Philly — and I’m expecting more of the same here in a high-scoring contest where defense may appear optional.
The Over is 7-3 in the Hawks’ last 10 games, and they’ve scored 119+ points in five straight outings. The 76ers have given up at least 119 points in their past five contests. Plus, it was all about the offenses in last season’s meetings, with scorelines of 127-121 and 139-132.
I’m keying in on Dyson Daniels to round out my SGP. He’s averaging three steals per game this year, and some inexperienced Philly lineups should be ripe for forcing turnovers. After all, the 76ers had 17 giveaways in last night’s win.
Daniels swiped five steals against Indiana last time out, and that’s become a key for Atlanta’s transition attack. I see him doing more damage amid all the end-to-end action.
