Tobias Harris was red-hot until a calf injury interrupted his run. Our expert NBA predictions expect Harris to pick up where he left off tonight against the 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers visit the Detroit Pistons as the two teams square off this season for the third and final time.

With the season series tied at a game apiece, a healthy Sixers team will look to steal a win on the road and emerge victorious in the rubber match.

My 76ers vs. Pistons predictions expect Tobias Harris to hit the Over on his modest scoring prop against his former team.

Read my NBA picks to see why I love that prop when the Sixers and Pistons tip-off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

76ers vs Pistons prediction

My best bet
Tobias Harris Over 13.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
Tobias Harris’ scoring average is the lowest it's been since the 2012-13 campaign. He’s posting just 13 points per game in his second stint with the Detroit Pistons, but Harris’ scoring line is far too low based on his recent play.

In his last game out, he was forced to exit early with a calf contusion, but the injury shouldn’t prevent him from taking the court. He’s tagged as probable to face the Philadelphia 76ers.

His early exit snapped Harris’ prolific scoring streak at four games. In four games prior to suffering the calf injury, Harris averaged 18.5 points and hit the Over on this scoring line in each one.

Harris has hit the Over on this line in nearly half of his games, reaching that milestone in 21 of 49. At home, he’s averaged 14.7 points compared to just 11.4 on the road.

Those splits are notable for tonight’s matchup at Little Caesars Arena, where Harris has scored 14 or more in 14 of 24 contests.

Harris hit the Over on this prop in one of two matchups against Philadelphia this season, posting scoring totals of four and 18. Over the last seven games, the 76ers have allowed opposing forwards to average 24.9 points.

Philadelphia’s defense isn’t one to fear, as the team sports the fifth-worst defensive rating in the Association across the last 10 games at 120.3. In that span, the Sixers have surrendered the ninth-most points to opponents at 118.

Harris should have some extra motivation against his former team tonight, and I’m confident that he’ll score at least 14 in front of the Detroit faithful.

76ers vs Pistons same-game parlay

Tobias Harris Over 13.5 points

Philadelphia 76ers -2.5

Over 224

It’s a rare sight to see all of Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Paul George absent from the injury report, but that’s where we find ourselves for Friday’s primetime showdown.

The Sixers have covered in six of nine as the road favorite, and they’re in a great spot to cover again now that their Big 3 are back together.

I expect Philly’s offense to flow a bit better with George and Embiid out there, so I’ll take the visiting team to cover.

The Pistons are 27-24 to the Over this season, and the Sixers are 28-21-1. Detroit has gone Over in seven of its last 10, and Philly has done so in seven of its last 10.

Detroit is 13-12 to the Over at home, and Philly is 13-9-2 on the road. The Sixers have covered in six of nine as the road favorite, and I expect them to do it again with a nearly healthy squad.
