The Oklahoma City Thunder have cruised to the best record in the Western Conference and have won nine of their last 10 games. The visiting Philadelphia 76ers haven’t strung together too many wins, but they’ve done a good job keeping things close against superior competition.

My best bet: Quentin Grimes 25+ points (-125 at bet365)
My analysis
The Luka Doncic trade will go down as one of the worst in the history of the NBA, but the Quentin Grimes trade looks pretty terrible, too.
Grimes has started 14 straight for the Philadelphia 76ers and averaged 23.4 points. In that span, he’s got five games with at least 30 points, three with at least 35, and two with at least 40 — including his career-high 46-point eruption in Monday’s OT loss to Houston.
Grimes already has more 35-point games as a Sixer than Tobias Harris and Paul George combined in just over a month of running with the first unit. Since becoming a full-time starter, he leads the team in scoring and usage rate (27.0).
Over the last month, Grimes has been tailed in the scoring department by Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and Joel Embiid, who will all be out. The next active highest scorer behind Grimes has only averaged 12.7 per game, so to say Grimes will have the green light is an understatement.
The Oklahoma City Thunder sport the best defensive rating in the Association this season at 106.2, but that rating has slipped recently. Over the last five games, OKC ranks 18th at 114.5. In that span, the Thunder have allowed 113.4 points (15th), down from their season average of 107.1.
Grimes’ scoring prop is set at 25.5 with a price of -120, but I’m perfectly content to take this one at -125 for just a half-point less.
He’s scored at least 25 points in eight of his last 14 — including five straight — and I expect him to do it again in what should be a high-scoring affair.

As mentioned above, the Thunder’s defense has fallen off in recent games, while Philly’s offense has been able to score the ball thanks to one of the deepest rotations in the NBA and some monster performances from Grimes.
Philly’s defense has played poorly too, and there should be plenty of scoring opportunities for both teams.
Over the last seven, the Sixers have surrendered 27.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, and five assists to opposing PFs and 25 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists to opposing centers. No matter his position, Chet Holmgren is in a great spot to succeed against Philly's depleted, undersized frontcourt.
