My analysis
The Detroit Pistons are having a solid campaign, already doubling last season’s win total.
JB Bickerstaff’s squad hasn’t beaten the Los Angeles Clippers since January 2019, losing both meetings in 2024-25. However, they’ve covered the spread in seven of the last eight meetings, although the line has never been as small as tonight.
That being said, Detroit is rolling at the moment, beating every opponent during this unbeaten run by a minimum of five points. The Pistons are also 9-6 ATS as a home underdog.
In addition, the Clippers aren’t exactly playing their best basketball either, having lost back-to-back games since the All-Star break. L.A. also has a 4-7 record as an ATS road favorite.
I believe the Pistons have a legitimate chance tonight to finally end their skid against the Clippers and continue their best stretch of basketball.

Although we’ve seen some low-scoring matchups between these two teams in past years, the trends say differently lately. The Clippers have hit Over 224.5 points in seven straight contests, while the Pistons have also smashed the Over in four consecutive games.
Both squads rank around the middle of the pack in the Association in ppg and also sit Top 10 in defensive rating. That could make one think this could be a game where defense shines, and that’s still certainly possible, but the total is very low here.
