The Miami Heat will travel to the TD Garden tonight for an Eastern Conference matchup with the Boston Celtics.

Tyler Herro has been on a heater offensively for Miami, and my Heat vs. Celtics predictions expect that to continue.

Find out more in my NBA picks for Wednesday, April 2.

Heat vs Celtics prediction

My best bet: Tyler Herro Over 23.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
The Miami Heat may be amid a disappointing season, but Tyler Herro certainly isn’t. The Kentucky product has put up career numbers, averaging 23.7 points per game.

Herro has emerged as Miami’s best player and clear No. 1 option, especially after Jimmy Butler was traded to the Golden State Warriors at the deadline.

The former Sixth Man of the Year has cashed the Over on his points prop in four of his last five outings, even scoring 30+ twice during that span. Although Herro is averaging just under 20.0 ppg across two meetings with the Boston Celtics in 2024-25, he’s logged 24.4 points against East teams and also registered 23.7 ppg against Boston last season.

I’ll ride Herro’s hot hand at the Garden, as I anticipate another impressive performance tonight.

Heat vs Celtics same-game parlay

Tyler Herro Over 23.5 points

Jayson Tatum Over 26.5 points

Celtics moneyline

Jayson Tatum is having another impressive campaign for the defending champs, averaging 27.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.

He’s hit the Over in points in four of his last eight appearances and finished just below tonight’s total in his most recent game, scoring 25 points against Memphis. Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown are also all questionable to play, opening the door for Tatum to have a massive workload tonight.

To say Boston has been dominant against Miami would be an understatement. They’ve gone 9-1 in the last 10 meetings and have won six straight against Erik Spoelstra’s squad.
