Coming off of a very disappointing loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Phoenix Suns look to get back on track with a home game against the Utah Jazz on Sunday.
The Suns will once again be playing without Chris Paul and Cameron Payne, meaning the team will be weak at the point guard position.

Jazz vs Suns picks and predictions
Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.
Spread analysis
The Suns are 28-11 ATS as home favorites of six or fewer points under head coach Monty Williams, and they have won those games by an average of 8.8 points per game.
Phoenix has also lost two games in a row only twice all season, so I expect the Suns to turn up the energy and play well tonight.
Even without Paul in the lineup, the Suns match up rather well against this Jazz team. Devin Booker is every bit as good as Donovan Mitchell and Deandre Ayton should be able to hold his own against Rudy Gobert.
The Suns also have a significant edge on the wing in this game, as Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson are both superb players. The two of them should do well to contest shots by Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale and they’ll also make their marks on the other end of the floor. Bridges is an excellent cutter and has a good mid-range game, while Johnson is one of the best three-point shooters in basketball.
The Jazz are a really good basketball team and there’s no denying that they have a shot to win this one. However, this line seems like an overreaction to Phoenix’s bad outing against New Orleans, so this is just a value that is too hard to pass up with one of the best teams in basketball playing at home.
Prediction: Suns PK (-110)
Over/Under analysis
The Under hit the last time these two teams met, with them combining to score only 202 points in a game with a total of 223.5. That was the second meeting between these teams this year, and they combined to score only 224 points in the first. That means that neither one of the first two games went over the mark set on this game, but let's not fall for the trap.
Without Paul, Phoenix isn't going to be its best selves on the defensive end, and we just saw the team give up 117 points in a loss to New Orleans last game.
With that in mind, Utah should have no problem getting theirs tonight. The Suns should also have no trouble getting good looks against a Jazz team that has gone Over the total in two of its last three.
Over the last two seasons, the Over is also 15-4 when Phoenix is playing at home against teams that make 14 or more threes per game.
Prediction: Over 227 (-110)
Best bet
Booker didn’t cash on his assist prop against the Pelicans the other night, but that was just a really poor showing from the Suns. The Phoenix superstar is still going to be the focal point of this offense with Paul out and he’ll need to continue to make plays for others with Payne also sidelined.
Expect Booker to continue to rack up high assist numbers moving forward, and don’t be surprised if he has it going as a passer tonight.
Booker should be able to beat his man off the dribble in this game rather often, as Utah’s point-of-attack defense can generally be a disaster. Getting into the paint is half the battle for Booker, who will make great reads once he’s around the basket.
Pick: Devin Booker Over 6.5 assists (-120)
