The Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns lock horns Saturday at the Footprint Center in the Valley of the Sun Saturday. It’s the second of three regular-season meetings between the Western Conference combatants.

The Jazz picked up a wild 134-133 victory over Phoenix on Nov. 18 in Salt Lake City as a 1-point NBA odds underdog, with the Over connecting rather easily.

Will Utah be able to make it 2-for-2 against first-place Phoenix, or will the Suns be able to scorch the Jazz? We’ll discuss in our NBA picks and predictions for Jazz vs. Suns on Saturday, November 26.

Jazz vs Suns best odds

Jazz vs Suns picks and predictions

The Jazz started the season in rather surprising fashion, as Utah was expected to struggle after dealing cornerstones Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell during the offseason.

After a 10-3 SU/ATS start, those struggles might actually finally be creeping in, as Utah is just 2-6 straight up across the past eight games, with the same mark against the spread.

The Suns were sputtering a little bit in the middle of the month, dropping three of four games overall from Nov. 11-18, including the setback in Salt Lake City. But Phoenix has won three straight outings, while going 2-1 ATS, posting three consecutive Under results.

The Suns have been moving up the charts on offense, going for 114.7 ppg (No. 11 in the NBA), while hitting 3-pointers at an impressive 37.7% clip (No. 6). Their defense has been predictably stout, holding the opposition to just 107.4 ppg to rank No. 5 overall.

The Jazz have surprised with 117.4 ppg (No. 3), but the defense leaves something to be desired. Utah has allowed 115.7 ppg (No. 23), while struggling with a 47.9 defensive field-goal percentage (No. 24).

Utah has cashed the Over in five consecutive games, while going 8-2 in its past 10. A surprisingly high-octane offense and a lack of defense have led to plenty of Over results — which is the way to go again here.

While, yes, Phoenix has cashed the Under in three in a row, the Over easily cashed with 267 combined points in the first meeting in SLC.

Jazz vs Suns spread analysis

The Jazz are looking to avoid a season-worst four-game losing streak, and they haven’t had four consecutive non-covers this season, either.

Utah has managed to cash just once in the past five games on the road, too, while posting a dismal 6-14 ATS mark in the past 20 on the road when facing a team with a winning home mark.

The Suns have been white-hot at home lately, cashing at an 8-2 ATS clip, while they’re 11-5 ATS in the previous 16 games overall. While that run does include the loss and non-cover against the Jazz, both of these teams are in a much different place than they each were in the first meeting.

In that game, the Suns were unable to pick up the road win despite Devin Booker going off for 49 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds in his 41 minutes, while Phoenix finished with four scorers in double figures.

For Utah, Lauri Markkanen was able to offset Booker’s heroics somewhat, posting 38 points with six boards and three dimes, and the Jazz also finished with five players in double digits. Malik Beasley was on fire from downtown, too, going 7-of-13 from behind the arc, ending with 27 points in 31 minutes.

Play the Suns -6.5 (-110, WynnBET) together with the Over for a strong parlay opportunity. The trends back that up, too, as Phoenix has covered at a 7-3 ATS mark in the previous 10 meetings with Utah, and it has hit the Over in four straight at home against the Jazz.

Jazz vs Suns Over/Under analysis

The Jazz has scored 114 or more points in each of the past five outings, and they have allowed 121 or more points in four of the previous five contests. It’s no surprise that the Over has connected in each of the previous five outings for Utah, including the Nov. 18 meeting with Utah in Salt Lake City.

The Suns have scored 124 or more points on six different occasions across the past 17 games overall, including the first battle with the Jazz.

The Over has cashed in each of the previous four meetings in Phoenix, with the last Under between these teams in Phoenix hitting on October 28, 2019. In fact, we’ve seen an average total of 226.8 combined points per game in the past four meetings between these teams in Arizona.

There is risk to playing the Over, as Phoenix is a good defensive team, allowing just 45.3% from the field to rank No. 6 in the NBA. But the Suns do not pay much mind to the opposition from behind the arc, allowing triples at a 37.4% clip, good for No. 26 in the NBA. The Jazz have converted at a 36.7% clip from downtown, ranking No. 11, and that will be the key to another Over result in this series.

Jazz vs Suns betting trend to know

The Over is 5-2 in the past seven meetings between these teams, including 1-0 this season, while hitting at a 4-0 clip in the previous four meetings in Phoenix. Find more NBA betting trends for Jazz vs. Suns.
