There's no denying Coby White is in a zone right now, but books have set his points total too high against the Lakers.

The Chicago Bulls are playing their best basketball of the season right now, riding a three-game winning streak and suffering only two losses in their last 10.

The play of point guard Coby White is behind the “Running of the Bulls” which has sent his scoring props soaring, however, my Lakers vs. Bulls predictions project his points to come back to earth.

Find out why in my NBA picks for March 27 below.

Lakers vs Bulls prediction

My best bet: Coby White Under 25.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
Coby White has been on one in March.

The Chicago Bulls’ guard is averaging close to 30 points this month and has brought NBA prop bettors along for the ride, topping his scoring total in nine of his last 10 games.

That scoring surge has jacked up his points market, with those totals climbing from 18.5 points to today’s high of 25.5.

White dropped 36 points on the Los Angeles Lakers last weekend, going 12-for-17 from the floor — including 6-for-9 from 3-point range — in a 146-115 squash of Los Angeles.

To White’s credit, he’s been able to hang impressive scores on some of the NBA’s top defenses this month. Though he’s really peaked in the past five games. He’s averaging close to 32 points in that stretch but has taken on defenses ranked 29th, 26th, 22nd, 21st, and 14th (Lakers) in advanced defensive rating.

Los Angeles will have fresh tape on the Bulls, and White won't be catching L.A. off guard tonight, drawing the ire of the Lakers’ defense.

Los Angeles had 21 turnovers in that last meeting with Chicago, which the Bulls flipped into 27 points and fueled their fastbreak. White scored 12 of his 36 points off those miscues — something that won't be as plentiful tonight (L.A. 13th fewest turnovers per game).

Player projections call for another solid effort from White, with models ranging from 19.5 points to 26 points. Most forecasts, however, slide in well below this inflated total of 25.5 O/U, with my number just north of 21 points. Given that projection, the Under 25.5 points should be priced around -280.

Not only is this a good buyback spot for the Under, but White enters this game with a nagging toe injury. He’s been playing through that ailment, but it’s enough to show up on Thursday's Bulls’ injury report.

Lakers vs Bulls same-game parlay

Coby White Under 25.5 points

Josh Giddey 2+ threes

LeBron James 7+ assists

White’s point market has skyrocketed this month, but 25.5 O/U is my tipping point. He’s projected to score around 21 points tonight.

With L.A. focusing on White, Josh Giddey will find added space on the outside. He’s hit two or more triples in four of his last five.

LeBron has had seven or more assists in five of seven games this month, and projections call for eight dimes vs. Chicago.
