Nets vs Rockets Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

Jalen Green has been a bucket for the Rockets this season, but he's also putting in work on the glass. Expect a big night from the Rockets' guard against a putrid Brooklyn squad.

The Houston Rockets will look to get back into the win column tonight when they welcome the Brooklyn Nets to Toyota Center.

Jalen Green has been scoring in bunches while also racking up the boards, and I’ll explain how he features in my Nets vs. Rockets predictions and NBA picks for Saturday, February 1.

Nets vs Rockets prediction

My best bet
Jalen Green Over 25.5 points+rebounds (-120 at bet365)

My analysis
The Houston Rockets had their four-game win streak snapped by the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, but it was another strong showing for Jalen Green.

The fourth-year guard put up his second straight 25-point performance and added another six rebounds and five assists to boot.

Green saw his points per game jump from 19.3 in December to 25.7 in January while also picking up 4.2 boards per contest, so I like his odds of cashing the Over on 25.5 PR tonight.

Green has been shooting the lights out from long range in particular, averaging 3.7 makes on 8.7 3-point attempts per game last month. The Brooklyn Nets are the NBA’s second-worst team in terms of opponent three-point percentage (37.6%), which should play in Green’s favor.

The former second-overall pick has collected Over 25.5 points+rebounds in 12 of his last 15 contests and should terrorize the lowly Nets.

Nets vs Rockets same-game parlay

Jalen Green Over 25.5 points+rebounds

Fred VanVleet 5+ assists

Alperen Sengun 10+ rebounds

I’ll round out tonight’s same-game parlay with a couple more player picks for the Rockets as I look for Fred VanVleet and Alperen Sengun to hit an assist and rebound prop, respectively.

VanVleet has been dishing out dimes like candy, with at least five assists in five straight games and an average of 5.6 assists per contest in January.

Meanwhile, Alperen Sengun has collected 10 rebounds in four of his last seven contests and is averaging 10.4 boards per game this season.
