My analysis
Tyrese Haliburton’s scoring average is the lowest it's been since he joined the Indiana Pacers at 18.1 points per game. Despite the dip on offense, I expect him to score at least 20 tonight against the visiting Denver Nuggets.
Indiana’s point guard has scored at least 20 in three straight, and he’s reached that mark in 20 of 53 games overall this season. That includes 11 of 23 matchups at home, where he’s been a more efficient scorer.
Haliburton is averaging 19.5 points and 3.2 triples per game at home while shooting 47.3% from the floor and 39.9% from beyond the arc. On the road, those averages are just 16.7 points, 2.7 threes, and 43.3/34.5 shooting splits.
The Nuggets have allowed 24.4 points and 3.5 triples to opposing PGs across the last 15 games, making this a favorable matchup for Haliburton. Denver’s perimeter defense has been a vulnerability all season, as the Nuggets have allowed the 11th-highest three-point percentage at 36.1. The Nuggets are 31-13 straight up as the favorite and 13-7 as the road favorite. Indiana is just 12-11 straight up as the underdog and 3-4 as the home underdog. I’ll take the Nuggets to get back on track after a blowout loss to the Lakers.
