My analysis
Tyrese Haliburton’s production has dipped to its lowest mark since he joined the Indiana Pacers, but the star guard can still rack up assists with the best of them.
He’s been on a blistering hot streak as of late, and I’m betting that the streak continues tonight.
Across his first 53 games of the season, Haliburton averaged just 17.9 points and 8.5 assists.
In that span, he posted only 15 double-doubles. Across his last eight, Hali has averaged 21.6 points and 11.9 dimes with eight straight double-doubles.
Hali posted five straight double-doubles before sitting out three straight with a hip injury.
He hasn’t missed a beat since returning from injury, and he’s gone for 14 points and 10 assists in each of his last two games, including Tuesday’s win over Indiana.
In three games against Milwaukee Bucks this season, Haliburton has averaged 14.7 points and 8.7 assists with one double-double.
Last season, he averaged 21 points and 10.1 dimes and posted a double-double in seven of 11 matchups.
This is a favorable matchup for Haliburton, as the Bucks have allowed 26.2 points and 8.4 assists to PGs this season.
Milwaukee has been even more generous over the last seven, allowing a whopping 28.2 points and 9.2 assists to the position.
The Bucks and Pacers are tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference, and with just 17 games remaining, tonight’s matchup could have meaningful playoff implications.
Haliburton is on a roll, and he should be motivated for this divisional rivalry. His double-double prop opened at -105, but it’s available now at even money despite an eight-game streak.
