My analysis
Trae Young leads the league in assists per game this season with a career-high 11.6, but he’s been no slouch as a scorer with 23.6 points to his credit. For as great as he’s been on the season as a whole, Young has picked it up across his last 15, and I love the Over on this combo prop tonight.
Since February 1, Young has averaged 26.7 points and 12.2 assists, good for 38.9 PA. He hit the Over in nine of 15, including two straight and four of eight since returning from the All-Star break. In that same 15-game span, the Indiana Pacers have allowed opposing point guards to average 35.9 PA.
In two matchups with the Pacers this season, Young hit the Over twice, going for 22 points and 16 rebounds in his most recent matchup on Thursday and 34 points and 17 assists when the teams met for the first time.
Young has hit the Over in just 25 of 59 games this season, good for 42.4% of his appearances. I’d expect these odds to be a bit longer given that percentage, but he’s cleared this line in 60% of his last 15, so I’m happy to take it at -115.
Tonight’s matchup has a point total set at 243, and I’m betting the Over, which means there should be plenty of opportunities for Young to score and facilitate. He’ll need to be at his best as a scorer, as the Atlanta Hawks have been a sieve for opposing offenses, and the Hawks may have to win a shootout.

Across the last seven, Atlanta has surrendered 41.2 PRA to opposing PGs.
The Pacers are 33-26-2 to the Over this season, and the Hawks are 37-24-2. Indiana is 16-14-2 to the Over on the road, and Atlanta is 20-10 to the Over at home. On the season, the teams have combined to average 233.6 points, but across the last five, they’ve combined to average 239.2.
