My analysis
The Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Indiana Pacers in overtime on Monday to snap their eight-game run, but it was another high-scoring performance for the Wolves, who put up 130 points.
Since the start of the winning streak on March 2, Minnesota has averaged 122.8 points per game – the third-best mark in the NBA over that span.
Anthony Edwards has been the driving force behind his team’s offensive surge, as the superstar guard has led the Timberwolves in scoring in five straight contests. The former first-overall pick is averaging just under 30.0 ppg in March and has dropped 25+ points in five consecutive games, shooting 49.4% from the field.
At the other end of the court, the New Orleans Pelicans are 1-7 in their last eight and have been getting blown out regularly. The Pelicans are giving up 122.1 ppg since March 4, owning a league-worst plus-minus of -16 points.
