With all the recent buzz about the guys who were named to the All-Star team, it's important to remember that sometimes the best NBA betting value comes from looking at the players who aren't quite at that level.

Oddsmakers might be setting sky-high player props for superstars like Joel Embiid and Luka Doncic but don't forget about their often under-appreciated teammates Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Brunson.

That's where we're looking with our best NBA player prop picks for Sunday, February 6.

Today’s best NBA player props

Mad Maxey

The Philadelphia 76ers have struggled offensively lately but Tyrese Maxey can't be blamed for that. Maxey is coming off an 18-point performance against the Mavericks and is averaging 24.3 ppg with a 56.9 FG% in his last three games.

With Ben Simmons holding out, the second-year guard has really stepped up his game with increased minutes this season, averaging 16.9 ppg on 47/40/87 shooting splits.

This afternoon, Maxey and the Sixers face off against a Chicago team that has struggled defensively with Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso sidelined by injuries. The Bulls have surrendered 116.6 ppg in their last eight games and without their two best perimeter defenders they'll have a tough time containing Maxey.

Pick: Tyrese Maxey Over 15.5 points (-125 at DraftKings)

Robin to Luka's Batman

While Luka Doncic might be getting most of the attention for his red-hot play lately, his backcourt partner Jalen Brunson has also been a big reason that Dallas has won 14 of its last 19 games.

Brunson is averaging career highs in points (15.9), assists (5.5), and minutes (31.8) per game, and perhaps his most impressive skill is his ability to take care of the ball. In 39 minutes against Philadelphia on Friday, Brunson didn't turn the ball over a single time while scoring 19 points and dropping four dimes.

The Over/Under on his turnover total today is set at 1.5 and juiced towards the Over. With Brunson going below that number in nine of his last 14 games and the Hawks ranked 28th in the league in opponent turnovers per possession, take the Under at plus money.

Pick: Jalen Brunson Under 1.5 turnovers (+120 at Bet365)

Back in Business

Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. scored just five points in 11 minutes against the Spurs on Friday night before coming out of the game due to illness. However, he's expected to play tonight and should be in line for a bounce-back performance against a Pelicans team that is 21st in the league in defensive rating and ranks 28th in opponent effective field goal percentage (54.3%)

Prior to that game against San Antonio, Porter had scored at least 15 points in eight straight games, averaging 17.3 ppg over that span. With his points total set at 14.5 grab the Over.

Pick: Kevin Porter Over 14.5 points (-105 at William Hill)
