There are only three games on the NBA betting board this Veteran's Day but if you go beyond the side, total, and derivatives, there are still plenty of wagering options with NBA player prop bets.
Today we're backing a Rookie of the Year candidate, expecting some points from a guy better known for preventing them, and riding a hot hand on the West Coast.
Here are our best free NBA prop picks for Thursday, November 11.

Scottie's got it
The Raptors are coming off an ugly loss in Boston last night and head to Philadelphia on the second night of a back-to-back. That sort of scheduling is never easy but it is made a bit softer by the fact that the 76ers will be missing Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris.
The Raptors received plenty of flak for drafting Scottie Barnes over Jalen Suggs, but the versatile forward has jumped to the top of the Rookie of the Year odds board. The 20-year-old looked shaky in the Raptors season opener against the Wizards but has been very productive since, scoring at least 17 points in six of his last nine games and averaging 17.6 points per game on 54.9 percent shooting over that span.
The Raptors recently had last year's leading scorer, Pascal Siakam, return to the lineup but he's expected to rest today as he works back into game shape. Big man Khem Birch will also sit out for the third game in a row due to swelling in his knee. That should mean plenty of minutes, and shot attempts, for Barnes against a depleted Philly frontcourt. Take the Over on his points scored.
Pick: Scottie Barnes Over 14.5 points (-112 at PointsBet)
Jazzing it up
The Jazz host the struggling Pacers as 9.5-point favorites tonight. With a lineup featuring Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner, you might think Indiana was a tough team to score on inside, however, the Pacers rank 21st in the league with 46.7 points per game allowed in the paint.
Utah center Rudy Gobert is once again dominating on the defensive end of the floor for Utah, but he hasn't been getting buckets lately. He has scored fewer than 10 points in three of his last six games. That said, those low numbers were due to a dip in his field-goal attempts, including just 3 FGA against Milwaukee on Halloween and 5 FGA versus Miami last Saturday.
That's a very low volume of shot attempts from Gobert, who is still averaging 14.6 ppg on the year and also averaged 15.1 ppg over the previous three seasons. Expect his shot attempts to get back to normal levels and take the Over 12.5 on his points total today.
Pick: Rudy Gobert Over 12.5 points (-130 at bet365)
Batum bombs
In the final game tonight, the Miami Heat stick around in L.A. to face the Clippers. The Heat fell in overtime to the Lakers last night and will attempt to bounce back against a Clips squad that has won five in a row.
Forward Nic Batum has been a big reason for that winning streak, averaging 16.8 ppg over that five-game stretch. Batum was held to fewer than six points in three of his first four games to start the year but has since caught fire.
He's shooting a sizzling 59.5 percent from three-point range this month, converting on at least four shots from beyond the arc in four of five contests. Grab the Over 2.5 three-pointers made prop on Batum at decent plus money.
Pick: Nic Batum Over 2.5 threes made (+155 at DraftKings)
