Best NBA Player Props Today for Feb. 26: It Shall Be Dunn

The Norman Powell injury forced the Los Angeles Clippers to give Kris Dunn more minutes, and he's responded in a big way. Look for Dunn to continue his incredible recent production, per our NBA props for Wednesday night.

My favorite NBA player props for today are focusing on a pair of role players who have stepped up in recent weeks.

I'm also playing the contrarian with my NBA picks as I fade Domantas Sabonis against a Jazz team that struggles defensively. Read on to find out why with my best free NBA props for Wednesday, February 26.

Best NBA player props today

NBA player props for February 26

Kris Dunn Over 3.5 assists (-115 at bet365)

Los Angeles Clippers guard Kris Dunn has dropped 4+ dimes in six of his last eight contests and he's averaging 6.9 potential assists per game over that stretch.

What makes that even more impressive is that he was logging only 20 mpg until his last four contests. He has seen his playing time surge over his last four games, where he's averaging 32.7 mpg and 7.3 potential apg.

With Norman Powell sidelined, Dunn should continue to get plenty of burn. And with Kawhi Leonard rediscovering his shooting stroke, Dunn will have a high-end scorer to feed the ball.

That should lead to strong numbers against the Chicago Bulls who rank third in pace, 26th in defensive rating, and 29th in assists allowed per game (29.0).

Toumani Camara Over 6.5 rebounds (-120 at bet365)

Forward Toumani Camara has become a workhorse for the Portland Trail Blazers. Camara has eclipsed 6.5 boards in nine of his last 13 contests and is averaging 7.8 rebounds and 35.9 minutes per game over that span. He should feast on the glass tonight against the Washington Wizards, who are 28th in the league in rebounding rate.

Portland has been playing at the second-fastest tempo in the NBA over the last five games while the Wizards are fourth in the league in pace over the entire season. A faster pace leads to more possessions, which will result in higher numbers across the board.

Centers Robert Williams III and Deandre Ayton are also sidelined for the Blazers, which should lead to more loose rebounds for Camara to gobble up.

Domantas Sabonis Under 17.5 points (-105 at bet365)

On the surface, this seems like an obvious Over play on Domantas Sabonis, who averages 20.0 ppg and is facing a Utah Jazz squad that is 28th in the league in ppg allowed (119.4). That said, Sabonis has scored 16 points or fewer in four of his last five games and there's reason to expect that trend continue.

Sabonis is coming off a game where he finished with seven points against Charlotte. While he saw limited playing time in a blowout win, he took just seven field goal attempts, which is a low shot volume even for 27 minutes.

Sabonis has seen his minutes tick down since the Sacramento Kings traded for veteran Jonas Valanciunas, who is one of the best backup bigs around.

In addition, the Jazz don't allow many shots at the rim but are 28th in opponent 3-point rate (44.3%) and 30th in threes allowed per game (14.6). That makes it more likely that Sacramento will rely on it's outside shooters instead of getting buckets inside with Sabonis.
