For the first time this season, the Toronto Raptors are expected to have their core trio of Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, and RJ Barrett on the court together tonight — and that’s a much-needed boost with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in town.
The spark from Milwaukee’s NBA Cup run is fizzling out after some ugly recent losses, so I’m buying into Toronto’s offense clicking and Immanuel Quickley running the show.
Read on for my Raptors vs. Bucks predictions and NBA picks for this January 6 showdown, centered around props for both point guards.
Raptors vs Bucks prediction
My Raptors pick
Immanuel Quickley Over 7.5 assists (+125 at PointsBet Canada)
My analysis
The fully formed Toronto Raptors remain a mystery, but we’ll get our first clues tonight as Darko Rajakovic unleashes his three best scorers next to Gradey Dick and Jakob Poeltl.
It may take some time for Toronto to figure out the right shot distribution with a surge in scoring options, but it’s easier to predict where the primary playmaking is going to come from. That starts with Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes.
I’m targeting the Over on an alternative Quickley assists prop. He’s been dishing dimes since returning from injury, with 15 assists against the Nets last week, followed by 11 helpers in Friday’s loss to the Magic. And he’s poised for another impressive tally tonight against a Milwaukee Bucks defense with glaring flaws on the perimeter.
Quickley may not reach the double-digit mark again, but I like these plus-money NBA odds for 8+ dimes, particularly with the rim protection of Giannis and Brook Lopez forcing passes from the paint.
IQ’s drive-and-kick game, paired with his chemistry with Barrett from their Knicks days, makes him a powerful engine for this Raptors team, and there’s real potential for Toronto to heat up with all the weapons now available to Rajakovic.
The hosts are a work in progress, but Quickley, who ended last season with nine or more assists in three of his final four contests, raises the offensive ceiling in a big way, and I expect a relentless display after two rest days.
Raptors vs Bucks same-game parlay
I’m also taking the points with Toronto in this spot, given Milwaukee’s slump. The Bucks are 1-4 in their last five games, with losses to the Trail Blazers, Nets (twice), and Bulls. That’s an alarming skid for Doc Rivers’ men.
Scotiabank Arena is going to be buzzing at the prospect of seeing the Raptors at full strength, and the hosts are 20-14-1 ATS this year, despite some less impressive work against the spread over the last two weeks. I see Toronto keeping this close.
With Milwaukee still so dependent on big scoring nights from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, that’s the natural place to start for Bucks props for my SGP.
Though Lillard has struggled from downtown in his last four games (12-for-38), the volume is still there, so I’m adding the Over on 3.5 made 3-pointers tonight against a Toronto defense that’s been caught napping repeatedly this year.

Raptors vs Bucks spread and Over/Under analysis
- There’s a lot of respect for Giannis and Dame here, with the Bucks installed as big favorites despite an alarming start to 2025 and question marks over the availability of Khris Middleton and Andre Jackson Jr.
- Milwaukee is just 6-9 on its travels this season, while seven of Toronto’s eight victories have come at home.
- The Raptors have cashed in the Over in 17 of their last 24 home games, and the first-quarter Over has been a winning ticket in 24 of their past 35 outings at Scotiabank Arena.
- The Under is 20-14 for the Bucks this season, and that’s hit in the last two meetings between these teams, including a 99-85 Milwaukee win in November.
