The depleted Toronto Raptors seem to be collecting hard-fought losses this season, and they’ll look to snap a seven-game skid as they host the Indiana Pacers tonight.

After Toronto took the defending NBA champions to overtime in Boston on Saturday, my Pacers vs. Raptors predictions point to another spirited effort here from Darko Rajakovic’s men against an Indiana team that’s struggled on the road.

Check out my NBA picks for this November 18 clash, including an all-action night for one of the hosts’ emerging young core players in Ochai Agbaji.

My Raptors pick
Ochai Agbaji Over 17.5 points + rebounds (-125 at PointsBet Canada)

My analysis

The biggest plus for the Toronto Raptors so far this season has been Gradey Dick’s development as a backcourt starter who can be a central part of the future version of this team. But Ochai Agbaji’s strong two-way play has been another promising sign for the Toronto front office.

Agbaji is getting all the minutes he can handle with Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, and Bruce Brown all sidelined, and he’s thriving as a gritty defender and capable shooter.

As the Raptors try to get back in the win column here, I’m counting on another big night from Agbaji, who’s shooting 44% from 3-point range this season while posting double-digit points in six of his nine outings this month.

That’s furthering his case as a reliable 3-and-D wing, and he’s also a competitor on the glass, averaging 5.9 rpg and pulling down at least six boards in four of his last five contests.

Given all that, I like the Over on his points + rebounds combo prop tonight. Agbaji has gone past this 17.5 line in five of his past eight games, and Indiana’s fast pace and below-average defense (116.6 ppg allowed) should just add to his rebounding and scoring opportunities.

Alongside Davion Mitchell, Agbaji will be asked to slow down Tyrese Haliburton and a potent Pacers offense. That should mean 30+ minutes once again for the Kansas product, and I see him continuing to put up impressive numbers.

Raptors vs Pacers same-game parlay

Ochai Agbaji Over 17.5 points + rebounds

Raptors +4.5

Pascal Siakam Over 20.5 points

Despite dropping nine of their last 10 contests, the Raptors are 6-4 ATS in that span, and I’ll gladly take the points in this spot. Toronto has covered the spread in three of its last four matchups against Indiana, and the hosts have Jakob Poeltl (career-high 35 points against the Celtics) and R.J. Barrett playing well to prop up their less experienced second unit.

The Raptors have been able to hang with some of the league’s high-powered offenses this year, and I see them finding enough points to make this a real contest.

I’ve also got to have a Pascal Siakam prop for my SGP. The former Raptor has been ultra-efficient lately, including a 9-for-11 effort against the Miami Heat last night, and he’s gone past the 20-point mark in six of his last 10 outings.

There are a lot of mouths to feed in the Indiana Pacers offense, especially with Bennedict Mathurin unleashed in the starting five, but I’m trusting in Siakam’s elite shooting numbers, even if his eye-catching 47% mark from downtown doesn’t feel sustainable.

He’ll get a warm welcome from the Toronto crowd, and I expect him to be motivated to put on a show.

Raptors vs Pacers spread and Over/Under analysis

  • The Pacers enter as road favorites, but they’ve got injury worries of their own and they’re on the second night of a back-to-back set here after seeing off the Heat yesterday.
  • Indiana has won five of the past seven meetings between these teams, including the last three matchups at Scotiabank Arena, but the visitors are only 2-5 on their travels this season.
  • The Over is 8-2 in the Pacers’ last 10 games, though the Raptors had served up five straight Unders before Saturday’s 126-123 OT loss.
  • Indiana’s already-shaky defense could be a bigger weak spot if Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith, both listed as day-to-day, remain out.
