Spurs vs Cavaliers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

The Cleveland Cavaliers are slowly, but surely starting to look like themselves again after an uncharacteristic losing streak and as they play host to the San Antonio Spurs, they will try to stop them from interfering with them getting back into rhythm.

The Spurs lost to the Pistons on Tuesday to snap a three-game win streak, and the Cavs have put together back-to-back victories after dropping four straight. Can San Antonio get back in the win column, or will Cleveland extend its current win streak?

My Spurs vs. Cavaliers predictions expect Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen to lead the charge for Cleveland at home with rookie Steph Castle continuing his upward climb. Read my NBA picks to see which three player props you should target.

Spurs vs Cavaliers prediction

My best bet: Darius Garland Over 26.5 points and assists (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
Darius Garland is averaging a healthy 20.8 points and 6.7 assists this season, good for 27.5 PA. A normal day at the office will get the job done tonight, but fortunately, Garland will be in an advantageous situation.

The Cleveland Cavaliers return home from a five-game road trip tonight, and Garland has been a more productive scorer and facilitator at home this season. On the road, he’s averaging 26.5 PA compared to 28.5 PA at home.

Garland has hit the Over on this line in 38 of 67 games overall and 19 of 33 at home. He’s averaged 28 PRA over his last three home games.

The absence of Evan Mobley provides Garland additional opportunities to score and facilitate. He’s averaged 30.1 PA across eight games without Mobley, hitting the Over five times and posting exactly 26 PA once more.

On the season, the San Antonio Spurs have allowed opposing PGs to average 24.2 points and 9.1 assists. Over the last seven, San Antonio has surrendered 26.9 points and 11.2 dimes to the position. Expect Garland to come through with a big performance at home against a vulnerable defense.

Spurs vs Cavaliers same-game parlay

Darius Garland Over 26.5 points and assists

Jarrett Allen Over 25.5 points and rebounds

Stephon Castle 15+ points

The Spurs have allowed the eighth-most points in the paint this season, setting Allen up with a favorable defensive matchup. The big man is in line for additional opportunities with Evan Mobley out. In eight games with Mobley sidelined, Allen has averaged 17.6 points and 11 rebounds, hitting the Over on this line five times. Like Garland, he’s benefited statistically when Mobley’s been out.

Castle has started seven straight games and averaged 19.9 points along the way. In that span, he’s scored at least 15 points in each contest. With Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox out, Castle has gotten the green light to let it fly, and he’s made the most of his new offensive opportunities.
