Spurs vs Grizzlies Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

Victor Wembanyama is questionable with an illness but should suit up. Even if the Spurs star plays, he might not be 100% and this Grizzlies squad will ultimately come away with a rock-solid victory, covering the modest spread in the process.

The new-look San Antonio Spurs are in action against a Southwest Division rival in the Memphis Grizzlies as the two face off at the FedExForum tonight.

Ja Morant & Co. have often covered against San Antonio and I expect that to continue in my Spurs vs Grizzlies predictions.

Keep reading for my NBA picks for Monday, February 3 action ahead of this 8:00 p.m. tip.

Spurs vs Grizzlies prediction

My best bet
Grizzlies -5 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
The Memphis Grizzlies are having a resurgent season, sitting in second place in the Western Conference with a 33-16 record. Even though franchise cornerstone Ja Morant has missed a lot of time through injuries, they’ve still played well.

Memphis is one of the better teams in the Association against the spread, going 32-17 ATS while doing an especially nice job of covering when playing at FedExForum (15-8 as an ATS home favorite).

When it comes to facing the San Antonio Spurs, Taylor Jenkins’ squad has easily covered the five-point spread in back-to-back meetings, winning 140-112 and 129-115. If we’re strictly looking at this specific spread, the Grizzlies have covered in six of their last eight games against San Antonio.

Victor Wembanyama is questionable with an illness for tonight’s matchup (but is expected to play), while De’Aaron Fox, who was just acquired from the Sacramento Kings in a blockbuster trade, won’t make his debut just yet considering the deal only happened on Sunday. With the Spurs on the road with a roster-crunch disadvantage, this spread is not wide enough.

Four of the Grizzlies’ last five wins have also come by at least five points.

Spurs vs Grizzlies same-game parlay

Grizzlies -5

Victor Wembanyama Under 25.5 points

Under 241.5

Despite the questionable tag, Wemby is in Memphis and there is a good chance he’ll play after missing Saturday’s loss to the Miami Heat. The big man is having a marvelous season with 24.6 points per game, but he’s hit the Under in points in nine of his last 12 outings dating back to the beginning of January and he's likely not at 100% even if he does suit up.

Also, Wembanyama hasn’t played that well against the Grizzlies. Their stout defense has held him to just 16 PPG across two meetings in 2024-25, where Memphis, of course, won both.

The 241.5 total is very steep. That does make sense considering the Grizzlies are first in the NBA in PPG (123.4). The Spurs also score at a respectable level, averaging 112.6 per night. However, before smashing the Over in their last two meetings, the Under hit in three in a row before that. San Antonio is just 3-7 in its last 10 games and has been struggling offensively, only scoring more than 120 points twice in its previous eight games.
