My analysis
Austin Reaves has posted some big numbers since returning from a five-game absence, and I love the Over on this combo prop tonight. Over his last eight games, Reaves has averaged 22.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 7.6 assists, good for 36 PRAs.
Reaves has hit the Over on this line in just eight of 27 games this season, but five of those have come across his last eight. That includes three straight in which he’s averaged a monster 29 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 12 assists. Reaves has scored 20 or more points in three straight and four of six, and he’s dished at least 10 assists in each of his last three.
D’Angelo Russell was traded to the Nets earlier in the week, and in two games played without Russell, Reaves averaged 50 PRAs. He’ll continue to see more opportunities as a scorer and facilitator with Russell no longer on the team and no additional playmakers aside from LeBron James.
Reaves has averaged 26.5 PRAs on the road and 30 at home, making this a favorable matchup for him at crypto.com Arena.
The Portland Trail Blazers have allowed opposing SGs to average 35.5 PRAs this season, and this is a strong matchup for Reaves against an exploitable defense.
