Butler has been playing well lately, and in my Warriors vs. Heat predictions, I’ll explain why I’m expecting a revenge game for the veteran.

My best bet: Jimmy Butler Over 20.5 points (-120 at bet365)
My analysis
It’s common knowledge that Jimmy Butler has made a significant difference for the Golden State Warriors since they acquired him at the deadline from the Miami Heat. In 19 games with Jimmy, Golden State has a 16-3 record. The forward is making his presence felt on both ends of the floor and in the locker room with his leadership.
Butler is averaging 17.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 6.1 rebounds with the Warriors. He’s also cashed the Over in points in three of his last five appearances, scoring 25, 24, and 23 points in those games. Steph Curry could miss another game due to a tailbone injury, and if he does, that means a bigger workload for Butler.
Regardless of whether Curry suits up or not, I’m heavily leaning into the revenge narrative this evening. It’s hard to know how fans will react to seeing Butler in a new uniform, but he made it clear on Monday when speaking to reporters that he couldn't care less if he’s booed or not.
With that being said, there is no question Butler has extra motivation to perform against the team he just gave his heart and soul to for the last six seasons, especially after they traded him in the middle of the campaign. Knowing the competitor he is, the best version of Jimmy will show up and show out.

Brandin Podziemski has proven to be an important player for the Dubs, and he’s been starting a lot lately, playing in the first unit in every game he’s appeared in since February 13.
The youngster has cashed the Over in points in three consecutive outings, registering 19, 15, and 17, respectively. He’s averaging 13.4 points in March as well. He’ll likely start again and that means more opportunity to score the rock and get involved.
The Warriors have lost just three times since Butler joined the team. While Golden State is just 4-3 against Miami in their last seven meetings, the Heat are in horrible shape at the moment, going 1-9 in their last 10 games.
As for Steve Kerr’s Warriors, they continue to thrive, winning eight of their last 10. Yes, a loss to the Atlanta Hawks without Steph on Saturday wasn’t pretty, but I expect them to bounce back in South Beach. Golden State is 12-7 as a moneyline favorite on the road this season, too.
