This year’s NBA 3-Point Contest featured a star-studded field, and Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has come away with the 2025 crown after putting up a final-round score of 24.

Who won the NBA 3-Point Contest?

Update: Tyler Herro has won the NBA-3-point contest.

Despite entering with longshot odds of +750, Tyler Herro is your new NBA 3-point contest winner, defeating Buddy Hield and Darius Garland in the final round.

Tyler Herro becomes the fifth member of the Miami Heat to win the 3-point contest, joining Glen Rice, Jason Kapono, Daequan Cook, and James Jones.

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard was seeking his third-straight NBA 3-Point Contest win, but the star guard was eliminated in the first round by Tyler Herro, finishing with a final score of 18.

Here is some information on each competitor for this year’s competition, which took place at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

  • Damian Lillard: Lillard is the most experienced shooter in the field, as this will be his fifth appearance in the 3-Point Contest.
  • Buddy Hield: Hield is nearly as experienced as Lillard in this competition as this will be his fourth appearance. Hield is also a former winner, as he captured the crown in 2020.
  • Darius Garland: Garland has the best 3-point percentage of any participant in the 3-Point Contest this year as he’s shooting a blistering 43.8% from downtown.
  • Norman Powell: Powell also has a sparkling 3-point percentage this season as he’s shooting 42.9% from deep.
  • Cam Johnson: Johnson has routinely shown the ability to get scorching hot from deep. Back in November, he tallied nine 3-pointers in one game against the 76ers.
  • Tyler Herro: This will be Herro’s second time participating in the 3-Point Contest. Herro drilled 10 3-pointers in one game against the Pistons back in November.
  • Jalen Brunson: Although known for being clutch, Brunson is averaging the fewest 3-point attempts per game of any player in this year’s field.
  • Cade Cunningham: Cunningham has the lowest 3-point percentage of any player in this year’s field at just 35.2%.
