The lowly Washington Wizards will be hoping to snap a three-game losing skid tonight when they visit the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers, who will be without Joel Embiid and Paul George.
However, Washington is also dealing with injuries to Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, and my Wizards vs 76ers predictions explain how that will open up more opportunities for Corey Kispert.

My best bet
Corey Kispert Over 12.5 points (-110 at bet365)
My analysis
Corey Kispert has carved out a nice role as a second-unit regular for the Washington Wizards, averaging 11.5 points on 34.9% shooting from downtown in 29 appearances off the bench. He’s playing 27 minutes per night and saw an increase on Tuesday in a loss to the Houston Rockets, staying on the court for 32 minutes in total.
That resulted in better production for the former Gonzaga standout, scoring a team-high 23 points. Kuzma left early with a calf injury, while Poole didn’t suit up because of a hip contusion. There’s a high chance both players won’t be on the floor again tonight, which means Kispert will have the rock in his hands a lot more.
While Kispert has only hit the Over in points in four of his last six appearances, he’s played 23 minutes or more in those games. That will definitely be the case again in the City of Brotherly Love.
Yes, he only averaged 8.3 ppg vs. the Philadelphia 76ers last season, but Kispert played just 21.6 minutes per contest. He’ll be on the floor a lot more tonight and will build off Tuesday’s impressive performance, where he shot 7-for-10 from the field.

Tyrese Maxey is having a wonderful campaign for the 76ers; however, his total tonight is too high for me.
The ex-Kentucky star has only cashed the Over once in his last five outings, and in 18 games without Embiid, Maxey is only averaging 26.7 points.
The Under feels like a no-brainer with so many key players potentially sidelined on both sides. While the trends say differently, with the Over being hit in three of the last four, it’s hard for me to believe Washington and Philly are going to put up boatloads of points.
These teams are towards the bottom of the league in ppg, and although they’re not great on the opposite end of the court, there aren’t exactly a ton of cold-blooded scorers who will be playing. The Under looks like a solid bet tonight.
