The Missouri Tigers face off against the Georgia Bulldogs in the first round of the SEC tournament on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs are the No. 11 seed and should be excited to match up against the No. 14 seeded Tigers who finished the regular season without a single win in conference play.

Oddsmakers don't expect Mizzu to get its first win of 2024 here as conference tournament odds have UGA as a 3-point favorite with the Over/Under at 148. Here are my best free college basketball picks and predictions for Missouri vs. Georgia on March 13.

Missouri vs Georgia picks and predictions

The Georgia Bulldogs really looked like they had turned the corner at the start of the season. They beat the Missouri Tigers 75-68 on the road in the SEC opener and went 4-2 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in their first six conference games. However, things fell apart for them down the stretch and they came away with just a pair of wins in their final 12 contests.

To say this season has been terrible for Mizzu would be an understatement. The Tigers went 0-18 SU with an average scoring margin of -10.7 points per game in conference play. They've been awful on both ends of the floor and their poor shooting and defense is made even worse by their terrible work on the boards (348th in the country in rebounding rate).

While the Tigers are 4-3 ATS in their last seven games three of those covers came in contests where they were catching more than 11 points. They are catching just three points on Wednesday and I don't think that's nearly enough against a Georgia side that has at least been competitive.

The Bulldogs got blown out against the teams at the top of the SEC standings but they've taken care of business against the three teams below them in Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Missouri.

Georgia's second-leading scorer Jabri Abdur-Rahim (12.2 ppg) is listed as questionable for Wednesday due to a foot injury. However, given that the forward shoots a pathetic 36.1% from the floor and averages just 0.3 assists per game, Georgia's offense might be more efficient without him.

The Bulldogs don't shoot the ball well but they do an excellent job of getting to the charity stripe and Missouri is 345th in the country in opponent free throw rate. On the other end of the floor, Georgia is 78th in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency but even that modest ranking is significantly better than Mizzu's 189th.

Back the Bulldogs to win and cover against a Missouri team that has been one of the worst squads in the Power Six this season.

My best bet: Georgia -3 (-110 at bet365)

Missouri vs Georgia same-game parlay

Georgia -3

Russell Tchewa Over 7.5 rebounds

Sean East II Over 19.5 points

Like most squads in the SEC, Georgia plays at a fast tempo and with how poorly both of these teams shoot there should be plenty of available rebounds.

The seven-foot, 275-pound Tchewa leads the Bulldogs with 6.8 rebounds per game and he has pulled down 10 boards in each of his last two contests. Expect him to go Over 7.5 rebounds against an undersized Missouri frontcourt that struggles on the glass.

If Missouri wasn't so terrible you'd probably hear much more about Sean East II. The senior guard leads Mizzou with 17.9 points and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 53% from the floor and 46.2% from deep. East has dropped 20+ points in his last seven games and is averaging 25.1 ppg over that span. He was limited to 18 points in the first meeting between these teams but he took a season-high 20 field goal attempts and played every minute.

If he gets a similar workload tonight, he's hitting the Over 19.5 points without question.

Missouri vs Georgia spread and Over/Under analysis

This line hit the board on Tuesday night with the Bulldogs installed as 3-point favorites with the O/U at 148.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 92-78 loss on the road against Auburn and they've gone 5-3 ATS in their last eight games.

The Tigers lost 84-80 in their regular-season finale against LSU. While they failed to win a single game since the start of the new year they've covered the spread in four of their last seven contests. That said, they've gone 0-13 ATS with a line of +6 or less this season.
