The Oklahoma Sooners head to Gainesville tonight to face the No. 2 ranked Florida Gators.
The Gators have a highly efficient attack but have also been playing lockdown defense lately, and my Oklahoma vs. Florida predictions expect that to continue tonight.
Here are my free college basketball picks for this SEC clash on February 18.

Oklahoma team total Under 71.5 (-115 at bet365)
My analysis
The Oklahoma Sooners impressed during their non-conference schedule but have struggled in SEC play where they are 3-9 straight up and 4-8 against the spread. They've also been getting blown out by highly-ranked teams, losing by 18+ points to Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, and Missouri.
Meanwhile, the Florida Gators are 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games and have three wins by 20+ points during that span. The Gators are known for their explosive attack, ranking fourth in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency per KenPom.
However, they're also ninth in adjusted defense and have held six of their last eight opponents to fewer than 70 points. They rank fourth in opponent eFG% (44.2%), which ticks down to 41.3% at home.
The Sooners have an effective field goal percentage of 57.1% in Norman, but that number plummets to 50.5% away from home. They've been limited to 70 points or less in five of their last seven games overall.
Oklahoma is 12th in the country in transition efficiency per ShotQualityBets, but Florida is 19th in transition defense and doesn't allow many fastbreak opportunities. The Sooners also shoot a solid 35.9% from 3-point range (73rd in the country), but the Gators hold opponents to just 28.2% shooting from deep — the lowest number among all high-major schools.
Expect this Sooners attack to struggle against a Florida defense that matches up extremely well against them.
Oklahoma vs Florida same-game parlay (SGP)
Florida is a bit thin in the frontcourt, with injuries sidelining starting center Alex Condon and backup big Sam Alexis.
That means more minutes for forward Thomas Haugh, who has entered the starting lineup to log 34 minutes per game over the last two contests after averaging 22.0 mpg before that. Haugh has grabbed nine or more rebounds in five of the last six games and should be even more productive with an increased role.
Since I'm expecting Oklahoma's offense to underperform, it also makes sense to take the Under on guard Jeremiah Fears' assists total. The freshman averages 15.2 ppg and leads OU with 3.8 assists but has logged just a single dime in each of his past three games.
