My analysis
The Wisconsin Badgers and Purdue Boilermakers have much to play for when they meet Saturday at Mackey Arena.

The Badgers are fourth in the Big Ten standings with an outside chance of winning the conference. Wisconsin plays fast, is tidy with the ball, and shoots well from everywhere. The Badgers' 1:5 assist-to-turnover ratio shows they usually don’t beat themselves when the ball is in their hands.

Meanwhile, Purdue is only trailing Michigan in the Big Ten standings by half a game. The Badgers are 5-3 to the Over on the road, thanks to their fast tempo and 36.5% shooting from downtown.

The Boilermakers don’t play as fast as Wisconsin, but they boast a 1:5 ATR and score the basketball from everywhere. A whopping 37% of Purdue’s points come from downtown, and those triples have led to a record of 10-3-0 to the Over at Mackey Arena.

Saturday is a big game for both teams, and each program boasts elite shooters against vulnerable perimeter defenses. The Over is 8-2-0 across the last 10 head-to-heads, and I’m betting this conference clash eclipses the O/U of 149.5.

Wisconsin vs Purdue same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 149.5

Wisconsin +5.5

Purdue moneyline

While I’m banking on a high-scoring game, I’m also backing Wisconsin to cover +5.5 while simultaneously taking Purdue on the moneyline for a nifty three-leg SGP.

Wisconsin is 4-4 straight-up and 6-2-0 ATS as the road team. The Badgers have won three of five away games and meet a Purdue squad that’s 12-1 at home but just 8-5 ATS.

Although Purdue is coming off a tough road loss to Michigan, the Boilermakers have won three straight at home and are 6-4 SU in their last 10 head-to-head meetings with Wisconsin.
