LSU vs Texas A&M college football player props
Prop bet #1: Conner Weigman Over 15.5 rushing yards
Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Conner Wiegman scampered for 14 yards on three attempts last week at Mississippi State and has cleared his prop number in three of his four starts this season.
Wiegman may be forced to run the football against the LSU Tigers, as he now goes up against an elite front that boasts 24 sacks on the year. Throwing the football is how to beat LSU, and the Tigers' constant pressure will force him to run more often than he typically does.
Prop bet #2: Garrett Nussmeier Over 275.5 passing yards
LSU signal-caller Garrett Nussmeier has become a force in the SEC. Nussmeier's 2,222 passing yards rank seventh in the nation, and he’s fueled those numbers by slinging the football for 285+ yards in six of seven starts.
Texas A&M allows an average of 11.7 yards per completion, and Nussmeier has a loaded receiving corps that features four wideouts with over 27 receptions each. Boasting a 65% completion rate, the Tigers pivot should come out firing early and carve up the Aggies' defense.
Prop bet #3: Caden Durham Over 56.5 rushing yards
LSU freshman running back Caden Durham has been spectacular during his frosh season, busting loose for 382 rushing yards with six touchdowns. Durham most recently scampered for 101 yards and three TDs last week against Arkansas, marking the third time he’s cleared at least 98 yards in six games.
The Aggies allow 3.76 yards per carry, last surrendering 136 to Mississippi State during Week 8. Durham averages 6.2 yards per attempt, and I expect to see LSU deploy their RB in the same manner as last time.
Considering A&M's rushing defense has only coughed up five rushing TDs in 2024, I'm playing Durham’s rushing prop rather than his anytime TD market.
